RockMan CNC Pads

Blue backings, Aqua material
Blue backings, Blue material

Sold out

- Super-high performance pads from RockMan, now fitted into CNC machined blue or grey anodised aluminium alloy backings to improve braking power and response.
- Extensive testing carried out with some of the World's top riders to ensure arguably the best performing pads we've used!
- 6mm of pad material allows plenty of wear life.
- Aggressive bite and sound with bucket loads of lock and power.
- Individually hand made to ensure the best quality products.
- Top secret compound offers the best performance in both dry and wet conditions (as long as they are used with a grind)!
- Pads are 46mm in length with refills available separately.

Recommended Use

Sharp light grind for dry weather, sharp slightly deeper grind for wet weather. Can also be used on a smooth rim in dry weather.

Due to the very stiff backings, it is imperative that these pads are set up perfectly squarely.

Additional Information

Always ensure that the O-ring is lubricated before fitting the pads, this will allow it to fit over the pin on your brake cylinder more easily.

Supplied as one pair (2 pads) as shown.

Please note that the use of tar, brake spray or other substances can have adverse effects on the life of brake pads and we are unable to accept responsibility for this.

Hello - Personally, I'm more of a fan of the LGM pads, but as you can see from the Reviews section of both brake pads, people seem to get on well with both. Thanks, Mark

chad lamb

would these pads work on a medium harsh grind?

Hi Chad - They should work fine, although as with all pads the harsher the grind the shorter their lifespan will be. Thanks, Mark

These pads are amazing in wet weather and dry weather. They hold really well and have a nice bite, the noise is so loud. I love these pads and would recommend to anyone who want to pay that price...overall a great product, Thanks.

Hi Kevan - I'm glad you like your new pads. Some of our riders have used them before and they do seem to be good, consistent pads. Thanks for the review!

Excellent pads, but buyer beware...

First, let me say that these pads are awesome, and I would definitely buy them again. BUT I ran into one issue, which other people might want to know about (read on). THE GOOD: I've been riding them on the rear brake for the last six months (about 50-60 hours), and the material has only worn down a bit. I'll easily be able to get another 100-150 hours out of them before the material needs to be replaced. The backings are solid and really stiff, and I don't feel any flex at all. The pad material's bite is fantastic with a medium grind, but when the grind starts to die out, the pad will slip a little (especially in the wet). Just keep up your grind, and you'll be all set. The noise? Yeah, they're loud, but come on, what rim pads aren't? THE BAD: Here's the problem I ran into. The width of the backings were about 0.4mm too thick compared to the Magura HS33 cylinder (more detail here: http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/f3/rockman-cnc-backings-too-big-magura-hs33s-54678/). Were the Rockman backings too wide? Were the Magura cylinders too narrow? I don't know, but the result was that the backing didn't fit. In the end, I had to file down the backings for them to fit in the brake cylinders and have them move freely without getting stuck in the cylinder prongs. ...and that kinda sucks.

Thanks for your review and all the detail, Daniel! We've passed your feedback on to Rockman so I am sure they will check this out and address it in the near future. Thanks again.
