Questions

Elliot Bucknell

Hi would this work to convert an old Raleigh mtrax ti with vertical dropouts with 135mm spacings to single speed using a chain tensioner and a freewheeling cassette on this hub if not do you supply anything that would work please TIA

Hello - This should fit in your Raleigh fine. You wouldn't be able to fit a cassette body to this hub, but you could fit a singlespeed freewheel. The only hub we supply which can take a cassette is the Hope Pro 4 Trials/SS hub which can accept a 6-speed cassette. Thanks, Mark

Is this compatible with the Onza Armstrong Crank set.

Hi Adam - The crankset and hub are fairly independent in terms of compatibility. All it would mean was that, depending on your wheel size, you'd need to buy an appropriately sized freewheel to suit. Generally speaking, if you've got a 26" bike an 18t freewheel would be ideal, and if it's 24" a 16t freewheel would be best. For overall compatibility of the rear hub, you'd need to check your frame has dropouts spaced at 135mm, and if you're planning on re-using your existing rim making sure that it's 32h as well. Thanks, Mark
