Questions

David Sutton

Will this fit my Neon Conquer 20" frame with snail cams my inside drop out dimensions are 116

Posted by David Sutton on 28/05/2012

Reply from TartyBikes on 29/05/2012

Hi David - The Trialtech hub is spaced at 110mm, so with snail cams it will be spaced out to 116mm (each cam is 3mm) which is perfect for your frame! Thanks, Mark

jacob

is it for a disk or no disk?

Posted by jacob on 26/07/2012

Reply from TartyBikes on 27/07/2012

Hi Jacob - This is a non-disc rear hub. Thanks, Mark

Ewen

Hi , I'm buying a new real wheel for my Echo lite 2011 with this hub , will this fit as I've been told you have to file ost hubs down for them to fit? And would it be possible for you do this while building? Thanks

Posted by Ewen on 31/08/2012

Reply from TartyBikes on 03/09/2012

Hi Ewen - If you have the Lite frame that requires snail cams to get chain tension, you wouldn't need to modify this hub at all to fit. Thanks, Mark

harry

does this hub run m5 or m6 allen bolts?

Hi Harry - This hub uses M6 bolts, as do almost all of our rear hubs. Thanks, Mark

tristan

Hi, I have a onza t pro with a 19inch onza drilled rim and was wondering if this would be suitable for the 19" wheel? Thanks

Hi Tristan - thanks for your question. This would fit in your frame just fine, but to build it into the rim you may need different spokes depending on which hub you currently have. Thanks, Flipp.

jack

Hi guys, I have a onza rip which has a 20" rear wheel that i have broken. Is this rear hub compatible with some 20" spokes and a front rim? Thanks, Jack.

Posted by jack on 19/02/2015

Reply from TartyBikes on 19/02/2015

Hi Jack - thanks for your question. Yes, that will all work just fine, so long as you select a rim with a 32 spoke drilling, and the appropriate spokes (we will calculate these for you if you buy them from us). Going for one of the tougher rims (not super light weight) would be a good idea, since the rear wheel tends to take more abuse than the front, which the rim wouldn't really be designed to handle. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

Ross Burnside

Hi guys! I was wondering if this'd fit my Onza Bird? And if it would fit the freewheel I have? I believe the freewheel is 18T as that's the standard I think? Cheers guys, . Ross

Hi Ross - thanks for your question. Yes, this hub would fit your frame just fine, though you may need new spokes to build it into your wheel. The freewheel would fit the hub perfectly. Thanks, Flipp.

Ross

Hey guys! So i recently broke (lost all the ball bearings whilst being stupid) my standard rear hub for my Onza Bird. As gutted as I am, there's no point in crying. I had been looking at this hub for awhile now, but it only just hit me that if i did buy it, I may not be able to fit my Gusset Kojak Chain-Tugs onto it. Is this correct? I was wondering as my current hub is a solid axle with 15mm bolts on either end, but this uses Allen-Key bolts like my front hub. Would the Chain-Tugs still fit on to this hub? Cheers guys, Ross

Hi Ross - thanks for your question. Yes, you can use this hub with your Kojak tugs with no problems. The only change you will need to make is to flip the snail cams over (so that the threaded section is offset AWAY from the hub, rather than closer to it than the circular disc) and put the metal discs on the INSIDE of the dropouts. The width of the chain tug plate will fill in the space left for snail cams and will then work and fit in exactly the same way. Hope that helps! Thanks, Flipp.

Will this hub fit the onza comp 2013 frame

Hi Nathan - This hub should fit your Comp fine. Thanks, Mark

kyle mackenzie

Would this hub fit with a yaabaa 649 im looking at getting a tensile 60 click, 19 inch Echo TR rear rim to go with this hub i just need to know if it will all piece together before i order.

Posted by kyle mackenzie on 20/01/2014

Reply from TartyBikes on 20/01/2014

Hi Kyle - thanks for your question. The hub and rim will fit just fine, though that freewheel should ideally not be used on the rear of a bike. If the bike is using a rear freewheel system, you would be better served by a different freewheel that has the lockring on the back face rather than the front. If the bike has been converted to a front freewheel system and said Tensile 60 click is intended to be there cranks, it will be absolutely fine. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.
