Hi Tyler - I'm glad you like the bike! The rear pads are a fairly hard compound, but a change to something like the Inspired or Onza V-Brake Pads should give you more bite and hold. I'd say you were pretty accurate regarding starting on a 20" bike too - for out-and-out trials they'll usually offer an easier ride, although they'll be much more limited at streety-style riding. I hope you continue to enjoy the Element though, they're great bikes. Thanks for the review!

Hi Josh - The bikes arrive with us with the BB, cranks, headset and forks already fitted, and with the wheels already built. We would be able to send it to you like that, however it's worth bearing in mind that unless the bike is assembled by a professional bike mechanic that certain aspects of your warranty can be void. Hi Raymond - The 2011 Fourplay has quite a few differences to the Element - the frame itself is quite a lot different (as are the forks to some extent), and the parts used are generally of a higher quality on the Fourplay. For example, the Fourplay uses hydraulic disc brakes front and rear whereas the Element uses a cable V-brake and cable disc brake. Both bikes are very good though, I don't think you'd be disappointed with either. Thanks, Mark

Hi Matthew - As the Element is based around last year's Fourplay frame and the Fourplay fork, it's a solid basis for starting to get into street trials. The rest of the spec is great too, so you shouldn't need to change anything on the bike for some time. The choice of bar/stem compliment the frame/fork, and give it a good riding position for more streety riding. In terms of comparison to the Fourplay - that depends on which model you mean. The 2011 version uses a hydraulic disc brake front and rear which are great in terms of power and modulation. They also require less maintenance than cable brakes, so are more 'fit and forget'. The pre-2011 Fourplay uses a hydraulic rear rim brake which has really good outright stopping power, but requires a little more effort in terms of setup and will tend to be noisier than a disc brake. It will work better than the V-Brake fitted as standard on the Element, although the standard brake on the Element is still good. Thanks, Mark

Hello - The main differences between the Element and a BMX are the wheelsize and gear ratio. The Element uses 24" wheels rather than 20", which means that it's not quite as manoeuvrable as a BMX, but can roll over rougher terrain better. The gear ratio is also lighter which allows more trials moves and lines with a shorter run-up. Basically, the Element is a sort of middle ground between a trials bike, a mountain bike and a BMX which means it's a very versatile bike to ride. Because of that, if you're planning on doing a mixture of styles of riding I'd say it was a good bike to start out on! The frame and fork are very strong, and the rest of the components are very good too so you also wouldn't need to spend any additional money on repairing/upgrading it any time soon. Thanks, Mark
