- Trialtech threaded sprockets are CNC machined from super tough hardened Cro-Moly to offer a high level of quality and durability.
- A shot blasted surface finish after machining increases the surface hardness and improves wear life.
- Extra wide 10mm base means more threads and a stronger connection between the sprocket and hub/crank.
- ‘Beefy’ tapered design gives maximum strength, while CNC machined slots (18T models only) help keep the weight down.
- Compatible with all 1/8" and 3/32" chains.
- Industry standard 1.37" x 24tpi thread fits fixed rear hubs and threaded cranks.
- Stylish laser etched logos show great attention to detail.
- Available in 12T, 15T, 16T (all 'solid') and 17T, 18T and 22T (with machined slots). - Weights: 12T - 26.7g. 13T - 34.3g. 14T - 39.4g. 15T - 45.2g. 16T - 51.0g. 17T - 51.2g. 18T - 55.2g. 22T - 109.4g.

Additional Information

Please note that we recommend double wheel tensioners for 15T and smaller rear sprockets. This is to ensure a healthy amount of chain wrap and help to eliminate the chance of the chain skipping.

Questions

Dave Barratt

How much do these weigh? Looking at shaving a few grams off both my bikes and wondered how much I could save by changing the sprockets??

Reply from TartyBikes on 25/02/2011

Hi Dave - I've just weighed all of our screw-on sprockets, so if you check out the product pages there are weights of all our sprockets (to 1dp). Thanks, Mark

Sam

Do these fit on cranks for use with rear freehubs?

Posted by Sam on 11/04/2012

Reply from TartyBikes on 12/04/2012

Hi Sam - They certainly do! I've used that same setup on my own bike before and it was absolutely fine. Thanks, Mark

mike

hi. you can have it in 23T? cheers

Posted by mike on 15/04/2013

Reply from TartyBikes on 16/04/2013

Hi Mike - Trialtech have discontinued the 23t version of this sprocket, sorry. The largest size it's now available in is 22t. Thanks, Mark

Ian

Does this sprocket come with a locking or do I buy that separate?

Posted by Ian on 11/05/2013

Reply from TartyBikes on 13/05/2013

Hi Ian - This sprocket is sold without a lockring, although with the way trials drive-trains work you wouldn't require a lockring to keep it in place. Thanks, Mark

Jon

Do you use this sprocket on the front or back

Posted by Jon on 07/01/2014

Reply from TartyBikes on 08/01/2014

Hi Jon - thanks for your question. This sprocket can be used on either a threaded hub, or threaded cranks. If you have a front freewheel, you will need a rear sprocket. If you have a rear freewheel or a freehub, you will need a front sprocket. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

jack

could I fit one of these onto a onza rip?

Posted by jack on 24/10/2014

Reply from TartyBikes on 27/10/2014

Hi Jack - thanks for your question. These would not fit onto a Rip with the parts that come in it as standard. The front sprocket would need to be a chainring held on by bolts, and the rear uses a freewheel. Thanks, Flipp.

Luke

Would this sprocket fit directly onto Onza T-Pro standard cranks? Cheers

Posted by Luke on 01/12/2014

Reply from TartyBikes on 02/12/2014

Hi Luke - thanks for your question. This sprocket will act as a direct replacement if you have threaded cranks. A long while back, a couple of versions of T-Pro came with a front chainring and rear freewheel. If the front sprocket bolts on to the crank, this will not fit, though it is quite unlikely you have one of those models. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

Patrick Killen

Hi will the 15t version fit on my inspired flow 24 and if so how do you fit it 😀

Posted by Patrick Killen on 05/06/2016

Reply from TartyBikes on 06/06/2016

Hi Patrick - This sprocket would fit your rear hub on your Flow, but it would make the bike unrideable. This is a fixed sprocket, whereas your bike requires a freewheel for the rear. 16T is the smallest size freewheel available that will fit your bike. Thanks, Mark

James MacRae

Hi I was just wondering how do I get the hardest kick out of my 26" I've got a Jitsie varial and I've got a 15 tooth sprocket on the rear hub and not sure what tooth freewheel it's just the one you get standard on the Jitsie of your website as I bought it of someone who got it of tarty just wondering is it better to get a bigger sprocket? And possibly even a bigger tooth freewheel? I always thought a bigger sprocket/ freewheel was a harder kick but I don't know about this stuff lol

Hi - It will be an 18T freewheel up front, and I would leave the gear ratio alone, it's the best mixture of speed and acceleration for your bike. Thanks.

Thedy

Hi! Would a 12t fit an onza zoot dd? Also could i use a double chain tensioner on it?

Posted by Thedy on 22/10/2017

Reply from TartyBikes on 23/10/2017

Hi Thedy - A 12t would theoretically fit the Zoot, although it would make the gear ratio much harder than standard. You wouldn't be able to use a sprung chain tensioner as the Zoot frame doesn't have mounting points on it, so you'd need to continue using the standard tensioner system (depending on whether you have the Zoot or the Zoot Pro - if it's the Zoot, you could upgrade to Gusset Kojak tugs which are a bit more durable than the standard Onza tugs). Thanks, Mark

Great stuff

Posted by Ant on 24/05/2012

Great sprocket and the offset has rely helped my drive line compared to my echo sprocket, nice and strong and the laser graphics really finish it off.

Reply from TartyBikes on 24/05/2012

Hi Ant - The offset tooth design can be pretty handy for certain setups if you've got chain-line issues. Glad to hear it worked well for you! Thanks for the review.

Does the purpose

Posted by Maciej on 17/09/2012

Great sprocket at a great price, as someone has said the offset has helped. I used to have chain alignment issues and this sprocket has helped, looks very tidy and isn't heavy either.

Hi Maciej - It's good to hear your new sprocket has helped with your setup. Thanks for the review!

Great sprocket

Posted by Ashley on 05/05/2013

Bought the 16 tooth one a fair while ago now, still has very very little wear. What more could you want?

Reply from TartyBikes on 07/05/2013

Hi Ashley - These sprockets are nice and tough! Thanks for the review.
