Additional Information

The main arm shape has recently changed slightly, offering more adjustability. It now appears as pictured in the first image.

May not be compatible with some frames which have deep 'socket-type' dropouts. If you are unsure if this product will fit your bike then just give us a call and ask!

Please note that we recommend double wheel tensioners for 15T and smaller rear sprockets. This is to ensure a healthy amount of chain wrap and help to eliminate the chance of the chain skipping.

Hi Josiah!
This tensioner won't fit your Austin, sorry. We also don't recommend single wheel sprung tensioners if you're using a rear sprocket smaller than 12t.
To try and work out why your wheel is moving, we'd recommend:
- Taking your rear wheel out.
- Cleaning up the frame where the hub makes contact with it.
- Removing your axle bolts and cleaning the threads of the bolts and inside the rear axle.
- Checking that the underside of your axle bolt washers aren't overly worn (switching to some axle bolt washers with a serrated underside can help improve their grip on the frame, helping to keep your wheel in place).
- Applying grease to your axle bolts, inside the threads of the axle and under the head of the bolts themselves.
- Reinstalling your wheel.

Following these steps should help your wheel clamp in place better. Snail cams are designed to be a set up aid rather than taking load when the bike is in use, so if your wheel is slipping when you're riding it suggests the axle bolts aren't holding it in place well.
An alternative way to try and help would be to switch to some notched snail cams if your current cams are smoother. The notches help keep things in place much better and make setup that bit easier too.
If you need any more help, feel free to ask!
