Trialtech Chain Tugs (pair)

Product code: 169

£7.50

Trialtech Chain Tugs (pair)

- 10mm chain tugs to fit many bikes with horizontal dropouts.
- CNC machined aluminium construction, with M6 threaded bar to keep weight down while maintaining maximum funcionality.
- Guides on the main body prevent the tug from rotating when tightening the axle bolts, a common cause of breakage on most chain tugs.
- Domed nuts not supplied anymore, sorry!
- Sold as a pair.
- Weight: 36g

Please note that chain tugs are not designed to take any load, their job is to tension the chain and then your wheel bolt/nut keeps the wheel in place. Chain tugs breaking is not covered under warranty for this reason.

Questions

Nakano

It fit for rockman kortz2 or not? Thank you

Hi Nakano - Because of the shape of the dropout, these will not fit the Rockman. Sorry!

JJ

Is this suitable for ONZA RIP?

Posted by JJ on 06/07/2011

Reply from TartyBikes on 07/07/2011

Hello - These should fit the Rip fine as they're almost exactly the same model. If you want a slightly stronger option you could try out the Gusset Kojak tugs. Thanks, Mark

Rourke

Would these fit an onza zoot 2010?

Posted by Rourke on 20/03/2012

Reply from TartyBikes on 21/03/2012

Hi Sam - These tugs are virtually identical to the standard tugs on the Zoot so should fit fine. If you're looking for a stronger replacement model I'd recommend the Gusset Kojak tugs as they're a little beefier. Thanks, Mark

JOE

hi, will these fit the onza sting ?

Posted by JOE on 19/05/2012

Reply from TartyBikes on 21/05/2012

Hi Joe - These should fit the Sting fine as they're an almost identical tug to the standard Onza model. If you'd like a slightly stronger tug, the Gusset Kojak tugs are a great bet. Thanks, Mark

Dan

Would these fit a zoo lynx? Thanks

Posted by Dan on 17/02/2014

Reply from TartyBikes on 18/02/2014

Hi Dan - thanks for your question. Unfortunately these would not work with that frame as the ends of the dropouts are angled. They need to be level for these to be able to work. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

Tomas

hi, will these fit on koxx sky V2?

Posted by Tomas on 19/06/2014

Reply from TartyBikes on 20/06/2014

Hi Tomas - thanks for your question. Unfortunately these will not fit that frame as the dropouts are too small. They are designed for use with snail cams. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

Ross

Hi, will these fit an onza bird 2012?

Posted by Ross on 10/08/2014

Reply from TartyBikes on 11/08/2014

Hi Ross - yes, these will fit your bike perfectly. Thanks, Flipp.

Tom

Hi there, I was wondering if these (or any other tugs) fit on the Ozony Skill 24" Frame. They drop outs are so long they are hard to tension with snail cams and correct brake alignment. Cheers, Tom

Hi Tom - If you're able to do a quick bit of measuring for us we can double check it for you! If you measure from the centre of your axle to the end of the dropout (where the chain tug plate would sit) we can see how that compares to the threaded section on the tugs we have in stock. If you can send that measurement over to tartybikes@gmail.com we'll see what we can do. I'm almost certain the Kojak tugs will fit as they've got a really long threaded section (which can be trimmed down to suit, as can the plate at the rear of the tug and the main section of the tug too if you'd like to save a little weight), although the Trialtech tugs should do the job too. Cheers, Mark

Jason

Hi Would these fit an inspired console frame ? And would the bolt from a pro 2 hub fit through the tensioner ?

Posted by Jason on 29/06/2017

Reply from TartyBikes on 30/06/2017

Hi Jason - These should fit the Console frame fine. Your Pro 2 hub bolts will also work well with them. Thanks, Mark

Nacho Jane

Will this fit on my inspired hex 2014 frame? If not which chain tug available will? thanks

Posted by Nacho Jane on 09/12/2015

Reply from TartyBikes on 09/12/2015

Hello - As the Inspired Hex uses vertical dropouts, none of our chain tugs will fit, sorry. You would need to use one of our fixed or sprung chain tensioners. The Trialtech Sport Sprung tensioner is the one fitted to the Inspired Hex bikes as standard and seems to work well with them. Thanks, Mark

Nas

Hi there, Can you suggest if these will work on a monty 221pr frame? And if not, is there any other model which will or should I go for snail cams as standard? Thanks!

Posted by Nas on 22/05/2017

Reply from TartyBikes on 22/05/2017

Hi Nas - We haven't tried these tugs on a 221 Pr frame, but theoretically they would fit. However, we would usually recommend snail cams as they seem to be a more consistent, reliable system especially if you opt for notched/toothed snail cams. Thanks, Mark
