- Ultra light weight rim from #Hashtagg.
- Developed with and tested by World Champion and TartyBikes team rider Vincent Hermance.
- Unique profile offers three advantages:
- The overall cross section of the rim is loosely H shaped, meaning the sidewalls have a direct brace between them, offering stiffer braking than a normal rim with a C section.
- The W shape allows nipples to seat perfectly as they come out of the rim at an angle towards the hub, allowing easier wheelbuilding and a stiffer wheel overall.
- The bead area is different to other rims, holding tyres more tightly and accurately, ensuring lightweight tyres seat better and stay in place at low pressures.
- Parallel sidewalls provide a square braking surface, making setting brakes up easier - especially when using washerless brake clamps.
- Large, 47mm width ensure the highest possible reduction of tyre roll, even when riding with lower tyre pressures.
- Raised ridges along the edges of the rim improve strength and resistance to flat spots.
- Enormous punched holes massively reduce the weight of the rim, though not so much as to make the rim weak, due to the strengthening rib running across their centre.
- Clever valve hole positioning allows a larger-than-usual hole at the join, saving more weight.
- Available in Black or Silver, 32 spoke drilling only.
- ERD: 557mm, spoke hole offset 13mm (for spoke calculation subtract 13mm from hub offsets).
- Weight: just 526g!

Hole Dimensions:
- Width: 30mm
- Length: 20mm (two holes per gap between spokes)

Questions

Phil

Hey I was wondering about the rims you sell I am building a custom jump bike but I would like it to be as light as possible but strong if I bought some of your rims do you think the would be strong enough I understand that trails can me quite hard warring on the wheels

Hi Phil - These rims are more than suitable for trials use, but the type of and direction of loads for a trials wheel are quite a lot different to dirt jumping. For example, they wouldn't handle landing spins on jumps that well, landing tailwhips and so on. As an alternative from our range, the Inspired Team V2 26" Rims (Product code: 13380) would be a good bet. They're designed for street trials so take spins, drops and so on into consideration, and consequently should work well for dirt jumping too. Thanks, Mark

Hi, are you planning to offer a Hashtag front rim also?

Yes, as soon as they are available. Regards.

Hi. I'm not a trials rider but I'm interested in lightweight fat rims. I was thinking to use these 47mm rims on a geared MTB with 26x2.5" tyres and set up tubeless. Q1: Is that possible? Q2: To run these rims tubeless, what rim tape and tubeless set up do you recommend? Q3: What spoke length for Hope Pro2 hubs -- standard MTB 9/10 speed free hub (not singlespeed hub)? Note: These rims are ERD 555mm with 13mm offset. Thanks, James

Hi James - thanks for your questions. We don't have too many dealings with tubeless setups as they are not used in trials, but we are pretty sure these rims would not be suitable. The holes cover so much of the rim that we feel there probably wouldn't be enough surface around the edges for the tape to grip onto to prevent leaks. We will calculate spoke lengths when picking the parts for your order. Just remember to put your hub, rim and preferred lacing pattern information in the Notes if you decide to try it out! Thanks, Flipp.

This is a very strong rim with a new design who make the rim stiff and stable super wide. fits best when ride with the tryall stiky light tyre strong material on the brake surface, when grinding the rim and using the Costellier pads u can use a grind for a month it works good when using the tk-yellow pads they also are very good on a rainy day.
