New from Crewkerz, the WAW Ultimate free hub, available in disc and non disc versions!
- Trials specific hub with 108 engagement points!
- Ideal upgrade for Crewkerz Jealousy and Ozonys Curve riders!
- Available in 135 x 12mm axle only.
- With the increasing success of rear free hubs in top level competition, Crewkerz have released their own free hub designed specifically for trials!
- Available in 135mm spacing only, in a disc or non-disc variation to suit both 20" and 26" bikes.
- The Crewkerz free hub uses 4 pawls with two teeth each, which engage on a 54 tooth ratchet ring. The pawls engage in pairs, helping to evenly distribute load on the mechanism, and increase the effective engagements for a single crank revolution.
- Free hub gives 108 engagement points for a complete rotation based on 4 pawls engaging in groups of two on the 54 tooth ratchet ring. With an 18:12 gear ratio, this equals 162 engagement points for a single crank rotation. For an 18:15 gear ratio, this equals 129.6 engagement points for a single crank rotation.
- Each pawl uses a lightweight spring to help reduce rolling friction. A curved pawl design, pointing upwards towards the ratchet ring, helps the pawls engage quickly, and cleanly under load, helping to prevent skipping.
- A total of 5 sealed cartridge bearings (3 in the free hub and two in the main hub body) keep things rolling smoothly, and help to distribute load on the axle, reducing load stress.
- A solid free hub seal with rubber skirt helps to keep dirt and moisture out of the drive mechanism.
- Both versions of the hub are supplied with a sprocket lock ring that uses a Shimano Hollowtech II tool fitment.
- Hub body is machined from 7000 series aluminium, and finished in a stylish satin silver colour, with laser etched WAW Ultimate graphics.
- Both version of the hub are 135mm x 12mm axle standard only (to fit Crewkerz / Ozonys). Axles are sold separately
here.
- Both versions of the hub are 32H only.
- Rear disc hub is 6-bolt ISO standard.
- Both versions available in silver colour only.
- Weight: Disc - 300g (including lock ring) / Non-disc - 289g (including lock ring)

How is the ratchet ring attached to the hub shell? Is it threaded in or is it fitted into splines? Second, is that ratchet ring replaceable? I'd assume if it is threaded in it is not replaceable. Thanks

Hi Matt
The ratchet ring is threaded into the hub body, just like the Hope Pro hubs. If it ever were to fail, then the hub shell would need to be replaced. Failures due to defects are covered by warranty, and we've yet to have any trials specific free hub fail in this way from any brand.
