Hi James - yes, this would work just fine with your frame. The one thing to note is that your frame is a little unusual for a trials bike as it has a 73mm BB shell. All our square taper BBs are 68mm, as almost all trials frames are that size. Just as a point of note: the non-drive side cup will keep screwing in until it sits completely inside the frame by 5mm. This is just because your shell is longer than designed for the BB, though it will work absolutely fine and not affect its performance. Thanks, Flipp.

Hi guys, could I get away with running the 119mm on a 2010 Onza bird with the Trialtech sport forged cranks, Onza comp bashguard and a Tensile 60 click freewheel? Cheers. =)

Hi Andy - thanks for your question. You might just be able to get away with that, though it will be quite a tight fit. We would strongly recommend using a longer bottom bracket to avoid clearance issues. The First Square Taper BB has a 128mm axle which will definitely clear everything and is only 1 more. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

Johnny Andersson

Hi, i have a monty bike from 06. shall i get a square bottom bracket or a spline one? Thanks in advance!

Hi Johnny - thanks for your question. That would depend entirely on the style of cranks you have. If you remove the crank bolt you can see which style interface your current BB uses, and you should buy one to match that. If you intend to replace both the BB and cranks then we'd recommend ISIS as not many companies produce Square Taper components any more and replacing parts for them can be tricky. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.
