Additional Information

Please note that we recommend double wheel tensioners for 15T and smaller rear sprockets. This is to ensure a healthy amount of chain wrap and help to eliminate the chance of the chain skipping.

Will this fit a chris king hub? I know it says that only king cogs will fit the, but surely with a base this wide it will be fine? Or will it cause problems with the spacers, chris king classic by the way, with steel driveshell.

Hi George - If it's a Classic then using this sprocket would be fine. I used one on my own King with no problems. Thanks, Mark

Will this 13t version fit on my 3/32" chain of my ashton/diamondback effect, and which better sprocket would you recommend if this doesn't fit.

Hi everyone, Is the gusset double six sprocket compatible with 3/32 kmc k710 (onza kool chain)? I have a couple issues currently and was trying to correct them. 1. Rohloff speedhub tensioner with chain clearance problems. Chain is an off brand half link design made by someone that used to be involved with kmc. The pins are mushroomed and pin width was in-between 1/8 inch and 3/16... think it was 9.8mm. I measured it with calipers. Definitely wider than other 1/8 " bmx chains but not quite as wide as a 3/16" chain. 2. Already have spacers in the tensioners jockey wheels axles and chain still rubs. Is it ideal to run a 3/32 or 1/8 inch? 3. Gearing is currently surly 18t frt with echo sl cranks and echo urban bash guard. Rear is 14 t trialtech on Hope evidence pro 2. Wanted to go with 22t frt trialtech with trialtech bashring and trialtech sport splined 14, 15 or 16t. Gearing now is way too low for me. Bike is inspired Skye. Thanks for your help. Peter

Hi Peter - thanks for your question. Yes, that chain and sprocket will work together perfectly. 1) & 2) Using a 3/32" chain is preferable, though you should be able to use your chain if you wanted to - just use slightly thicker spacers if the chain is still rubbing! Remember to add one to both sides of the jockey wheels as it will need to clear both sides of the cage. 3) Changing to that gearing would be no problem. It would work just fine with those cranks and that frame. Thanks, Flipp.

Hi, Would this work on a chris king BMX hub ? If not what other sprocket would work on a king bmx hub that isn't the king sprocket? thanks

Hi Danny - These sprockets do work, but you'd need to file the spline closest to the 'King' spline due to the spline pattern on the freehub body. As an alternative, Trialtech Sport Splined sprockets would fit straight on. Thanks, Mark

No 'dig in' what so ever!

Posted by Cai on 04/09/2012

This is the widest sprocket that I've used and it completely prevents 'dig in' on your hub. My freehub body still looks like its brand new! I'd definitely recommend this product.
