Please note that we recommend double wheel tensioners for 15T and smaller rear sprockets. This is to ensure a healthy amount of chain wrap and help to eliminate the chance of the chain skipping.

Questions

Martin

Hi! How well does the sprocket fit onto the freehub of Hope Pro 4 Trials/SS hubs? Is there any play that could lead the sprocket to run not exactly round? I tried several Reverse Components sprockets with this hub, but they don't fit 100% exactly (the sprocket is a very tiny bit too large), which leads to uneven chain tension. Thanks, Martin

Hi Martin!
From our own experience (I have had the same setup on my own bike), the Gusset sprockets fit the Hope freehub bodies well, although even with looser sprockets you should be able to alleviate any issues with fit by trying to keep tension in the sprocket by hand as you tighten the lockring up. The way the splines work mean that, assuming the sprocket is made correctly, it should self-centre when torque is applied. If you loosen off your lockring, twist the sprocket in the direction you'd be putting drive through it then tighten up your lockring, it should do that.
That said, the Gusset sprockets are really good quality and tend to fit well straight from the get-go, so if you don't have any luck with that self-centring they could be worth a shot!

No 'dig in' what so ever!

Posted by Cai

This is the widest sprocket that I've used and it completely prevents 'dig in' on your hub. My freehub body still looks like its brand new! I'd definitely recommend this product.
