Inspired Tripod Post

- New from Inspired, their Tripod Post!
- Only compatible with Tripod saddles, such as the Inspired Kevlar Tripod Saddle.
- Innovative system utilises two 'prongs' on the seat post slotting into two matching recesses on the saddle to ensure a strong, supportive fit, which is then held securely by a bolt (supplied with saddle) at the front of the post. This extra support across the seat pan makes them a stronger yet lighter alternative to traditional railed or Pivotal saddles. An angled shim (supplied with seat post) can then be used to tailor the angle of the seat to suit.
- Low profile mounting system and a pressed then bonded construction makes it one of the lowest, lightest seat and post combinations available, helping to run the seat lower and give more clearance.
- Anodised black finish with laser etched Inspired logo graphic.
- Overall length 150mm, with a maximum running height of 80mm.
- 27.2mm diameter, please check your frame before ordering.
- Weight: 176g

Additional Information

When fitting the saddle initially, the 'prongs' can be a very tight fit into the saddle. We recommend fitting the rear of the saddle first, then fitting the spacer (if desired) between the saddle and top of the post. Once this is in place, you can then rotate the saddle so it is pressed against the spacer and post fully, then finally insert the supplied bolt to secure it in place. Please note: The supplied bolt is relatively short, so please ensure that the saddle is fully inserted into the post before attempting to tighten the bolt.

Hi Raimundo - Yes, this is no problem at all. Some of the Inspired complete bikes will be coming stocked with this seat post in future. Thanks, Mark

Simon

Hello, can you tell me how you get this seat post into the Inspired Tripod Kevlar saddle? Because it doesn't really fit and I won't break something. Thanks!

Hi Simon - They are a very tight fit! We recommend having the saddle itself upside down with the 'nose' of the saddle pointing towards you. You then need to try and press the two rear posts on the seat post into the corresponding holes on the saddle itself. You may need to press down quite hard on the saddle to do this. It is a tight fit though so don't worry about that - if it was a loose fit then the saddle would move around when it was fitted. If you've got a flat surface going up to a wall that you can place the saddle on, then press backwards against the wall to help you push the post into the saddle that should help. Once the rear of the saddle is into the post it's a bit easier to get the bolt and wedge spacer in place. Hopefully that helps! If you've got any more problems, feel free to ask. Thanks, Mark
