Hi Will - This should fit your HS11 fine. Thanks, Mark

Hi just bought the hose and the barbed fittings however It seems that the barbed fittings don't fit or are just really really stiff any ideas?

Hi Harrison - The barbed fittings are a very, very tight fit. Because of the pressure the hoses are under, if they were a looser fit then they would be much more likely to pop off which wouldn't be great when you're out riding! We found the best way to fit them is to either use the official Magura clamping blocks (Quick find code: 010026), or use a substitute made out of wood or something similar. You simply clamp the hose in a vice using those blocks, then you can tap the fitting in with a hammer. A good way to guide it in is to use an old spoke. Firstly, you need to cut the spoke down so you have the threaded section at the end and then around 30-35mm of extra spoke. If you put a nipple on the end of the spoke, you slip a barbed fitting onto the exposed bit of spoke and then insert that inside the actual hose itself. Once you start hammering the end of the spoke, this then guides the barbed fitting along and into the hose, and stops you from 'kinking' the hose if you don't hit it dead straight. It sounds complicated, but it's pretty straight forward once you've got everything in front of you! I would definitely recommend not heating the hose up first as this can damage the hose itself. Thanks, Mark

Can you do the hose in a 3m length? The stock Magura replacement length of 2.4m is too short for my tandem!

Hi Paul - That'd be no problem. For any length ordered over 1.5m (e.g. 2 or greater quantity in the basket) we supply it as one length, so a 3m length would be fine. If you'd like to make extra sure, you can mention it in your Notes field at the Checkout stage. Thanks, Mark

Hi Blaine - yes, that will work absolutely fine. Thanks, Flipp.

Hello, I am interested particular hose, but unfortunately it is too short for my bicycle, maybe do you have it 1.80 metres long ?

Hi Viktor - thanks for your question. Unfortunately we are unable to sell odd lengths as it leaves us with odd lengths left over. You would need to buy either two 1.5m lengths and trim the remainder off, or you could buy three lengths, and you would then have a spare 1.8m hose plus a bit extra. The extra bits might come in handy at some point anyway for front brakes or crossovers. I hope that helps! Thanks, Flipp.

Hi there. Could you tell me if this hose will fit the old hs 33 rim brakes Because I was worried that there was different diameter hoses internal and external. Thanks Joe.

Hi Joe - yes, this hose will fit all generations of HS33. Thanks, Flipp.

Martyn Hunnex

Hi there, could you please tell me the outer diameter of this hose and whether it would be suitable for a reverb seatpost? I would like to route the post internally but the frame hole diameter is only 4mm and the current hose is 5mm. Any other suggestions would also be welcome. Many thanks, Martyn

H Martyn - thanks for your question. We can't say for certain as we don't know of anyone trying it, but we're reasonably confident this hose wouldn't work with a dropper. The outside diameter is also 5mm so it wouldn't fit through your frame hole anyway, though we are not too sure what fittings a Reverb uses, so it might not work at all! Thanks, Flipp.
