  • One of the most powerful disc brakes around!
  • Now supplied with improved HC1 blade!
- Top of the range disc brake from Magura, as used by Danny MacAskill!
- Extreme braking power delivered by four pistons through four individual brake pads, letting you lock the wheel down instantly when needed, but you still get great modulation when desired.
- Independent reach and bite point adjustment allow you to attain your perfect lever feel, however you prefer it - please note: these levers are no longer fitted with a separate adjuster dial for reach adjustment, an allen key must be used instead.
- Two-finger lever blade design gives plenty of leverage and massive power.
- Now also available with upgraded HC1 lever blade! The HC1 blade offers improved strength and stiffness, and also has a smoothed off rear.
- Lever has a flip-flop design and can be used with either hand. If the brake is supplied with the bite point adjustment dial on the wrong side, it can be removed and put in from the other side so that it is always on top.
- Lever body constructed from Carbotecture, offering a great strength-to-weight ratio.
- Forged aluminium caliper means there is only material where it is needed, resulting in an impressively light brake considering its power.
- Post Mount caliper style makes setting up the brake easy, and is compatible with both Magura and Hope Post Mount caliper to IS mount frame/fork adaptors.
- Kevlar reinforced hose (220cm length) attaches to caliper with a banjo bolt, making it easy to tuck the hose as out-the-way as possible on the bike.
- Please note if you are bleeding the brake you must not use a barbed fitting in the lever - the syringe is to be pushed directly into the open hole on the lever body. Supplied complete with olive and instructions on how to cut the hose down to your desired length, alternatively we can do this for you here. Please note: if purchasing a brake with a shorter than standard hose length, you will not receive an additional olive and insert as these are used to cut the brake down before dispatch.
- Sold as a single brake including mounting hardware.
- Weight: 277g (plus rotor at 142g)

We have made a disc brake guidance and information sheet which will be very useful if you are not experienced with disc brakes (or even if you are!). We strongly recommend having a look over it before fitting your new brake. This can be downloaded here.

Please note: We have consistently found these brakes to not be as durable as we would like when used for trials. This includes worn out lever travel adjusters and pivot pins, especially if the lever is hit or crashed on. If you would like a durable and reliable brake for trials use, we do not recommend this product.

Please note that over-tightening of the reach adjust screw in the front of the lever blade (towards the + position) can cause a feature on the lever blade cam to be damaged / broken off. This does not happen during normal use and is therefore not covered by warranty. Any brake with this 'fault' will still function normally.

Is it a pair?

Hello!
These brakes are sold individually, not as a pair.
If you have any more questions, please ask!

Hello Tartybike Team. I have a problem with my Magura MT7, they have very different pressure points (even after a few bleedings) do you have an idea how to get the pressure points the same? Thanks

Hi Karl!
Often, what causes bite points to feel different on brakes will be how centralised the calipers and pistons are. It sounds like it shouldn't make a difference, but ensuring that your caliper is central over the rotor and each piston is moving out correctly helps ensure that when you pull the lever the pistons are all doing their job, rather than all being pushed out at different times and speeds. Quite often this aspect of setup not quite being right will make a brake feel spongy, and just a few small adjustments can make a big difference.
This video from Hope shows how to centralise the pistons on one of their brakes, but the concept will be the same with your MT7s. It is a little harder with MT7s due to them being 4 piston, but as long as you take your time you should be fine.
If you need any more help with it, feel free to get in touch.

Hi, is it just the one colour for them? So like no yellow?

Hi Dylan!
The Raceline Yellow MT7s were a limited edition model that sold out some time ago, sorry. The other brakes to feature the Raceline Yellow calipers were the Danny MacAskill MT7 brakes which were also limited edition and have sold out.
Magura have said that the Raceline Yellow brakes are now going to be team only. As a result, their standard calipers will come in the colour shown here.

Vincent

IF you buy 2 of these brakes would you get one left and right then?

Hi Vincent!
These brakes aren't sold as left hand and right hand as the levers use a flip-flop design so can be fitted to either side.
The hoses are also one length, so you'd need to cut the hose down to suit your bike. If you're not confident doing this we offer it as a Workshop Service here. Simply tell us the lengths you require and we'll do it for you!
