These levers come with a 6 month warranty covering manufacturing defects and materials, which also covers the sealing of the brake. Please note that using water to bleed the brake will invalidate the warranty.
Very Important Information
In order for correct operation of the brake, you must ensure that the lip seal of the piston is inside the piston bore at all times. This is pre-set by us before dispatch. Failure to do this invalidates the leak warranty on the lever.

5 time fail
Posted by Rob
Ive had 5 of these levers and all leak. Changed o-rings. Same thing. Only one that doesnt leak too badly is one that i replaced the whole plunger and o-ring out of an old maggi lever i had cracked. Lever comfortable lever and easy to adjust on the fly... Unfortunatly the quality has just not been there for me.

Hi Rob - Sorry to hear you've had so many problems with these levers. Quite a few riders seem to use them with no issues, so to have issues with 5 is very unfortunate! Apologies again for this.
Excellent lever

When used with magura slaves it is incredible. Owned for over a year and still perfect. Bled with water too. Could not be happier.

Hi Ash - It's good to hear the lever's working well for you! Thank for the detailed review.
This lever is the best I have bought!

If you buy this lever just add some teflon and tighten the bleed screw. You will like this great brake!!!! :)

Hello - I'm glad you like your lever! You may not necessarily need to use any Teflon tape on your lever, although it does help create a better seal. Thanks for the review.
Buy a real Magura lever
Posted by Paul
Leaks fluid through the bleed nipple threads, temp fixed with ptfe tape on the nipple threads. Seems to require pads to be set closer to the rim than a standard Magura lever to achieve the same feel. Lever blade is very comfy just a shame it won't fit onto a Magura lever body. I wouldn't recommend this lever to anyone especially at over £50. AVOID

Hi Paul - Sorry to hear you're not happy with your lever! We've heard of a small amount of these brakes leaking from the bleed port - by using a cap head bolt (like the Magura with a Hope-style crush washer) or torquing the bleed screw to the correct 6Nm it's possible to stop that particular leak if you're having issues with it. Regarding the 'feel' of the lever, if you're used to using a 2-finger lever blade on a Magura then the TR will feel different as it's got a longer lever blade, and consequently has a little more power, and less brake pad travel. Because of that the brake will usually need to be set up a little differently. It's similar to the way that going from a 2-finger lever blade on a Magura to a 4-finger blade will require a change in your setup.
