Questions

Andrea

Hi guys, aluminium bolts like these can be used on wheel hubs?? and for postmount adaptor and brake caliper? last question: alloy or ti bolts: which is better/where are better?

Hi Andrea - we would not advise running these bolts as wheel bolts as they are not as strong as steel/titanium and can snap. We would also advise not using them for brake calipers for the same reason. These bolts are mostly only suitable for low-pressure usage such as brake levers and top-cap bolts. Finally - alloy and titanium both have their advantages. Alloy is lighter, but titanium is stronger. Titanium bolts are more suited to the uses you are asking about, and other areas where bolts need to be kept tight such as the stem. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

These work perfectly as a top cap bolt. They look great, save weight and have no strength issues.

Amazingly quick delivery from tartybikes again, i am using this bolt for my top cap and so far seems to be very strong. It also looks good with the different colour choices available. Thanks Clarke
