Additional Information

Ensure that your pedals are tightened to at least 310 in-lbs (35 Nm) every 5 minutes for the first few rides. Before fitting, it's also a good idea to make sure your pedal axles are clean (a wire brush works well) then greased before installation.
Similarly, always check crank bolt torque is at least 310 in-lbs (35 Nm) every 5 minutes for the first few rides, then each and every ride after that.
Failure to keep your pedals or crank bolts tight as described above is likely damage your cranks and this will not be covered under warranty.

Will this need a 3/32 chain or a 1/8 chain

Hi Nick - You can use either chain width on this crankset. Thanks, Mark

Ben Patrick

Hi i am looking to replace the cranks on my 24" inspired element 2012, will this crank fit it

Posted by Ben Patrick

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Ben - If you've got Truvativ cranks fitted to your Element, then only more of the same Truvativ Hussefelt or Holzfeller cranks would fit. To fit these cranks, you'd also need to buy a square taper BB to fit them too. Thanks, Mark

Lee comelio

Will this fit a onza zoot looking to go up a bit on the gearing

Posted by Lee comelio

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Lee - As long as you bought a square taper BB to go with it, this should fit the Zoot frame. However, you would need to buy a new freewheel too as you'd need to put a freewheel on the rear hub. The Zoot, as standard, is fitted with a freewheel on the crank arm whereas the Trialtech crankset has a fixed chainring. The only thing to note is that the difference in gear ratio would be relatively small, so if you're looking to dramatically change how the gear ratio feels you might not get quite what you're looking for with this unfortunately. Thanks, Mark

Hi, Could you confirm if your Trailtech Square Taper Crankset is JIS or ISO size? http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/cranksets/trialtech_race_square_taper_crankset/c11p10079.html I'm after a JIS fitment. Thanks Andy

Hi Andrew - These cranks are JIS fitment. Thanks, Mark

Frederick Stuart Brisbane

Would these fit a inspired fourplay?

Posted by Frederick Stuart Brisbane

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Frederick - As long as you got a square taper BB to go along with them, these cranks should fit a Fourplay fine. Thanks, Mark

hi, I got a old black ashton/ edd tongue frame. think it fit on that?

Posted by ricky

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Ricky - These cranks should fit fine depending on your BB length. If you've got a 127mm or longer BB axle then you'll be set. If it's any shorter then you might start encountering clearance issues with the chainring, although with the ET frame being designed for use with this size chainring it shouldn't be much of a problem, hopefully. Thanks, Mark

Lukas Schmid

Hi. Why are there only cranks for rectangular bottom brackets, but all the bottom brackets have ten teeth? Can you show me a crank, wich would fit for the Inspired Fourplay Pro 2012?

Posted by Lukas Schmid

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Lukas - If you're hoping to re-use your bottom bracket in your Fourplay Pro, we don't stock any cranks that will fit, sorry. If you're happy to replace your bottom bracket with a new one then most of the cranks in our ISIS Cranks section will fit, along with a BB from our ISIS BBs section. Thanks, Mark

Hi, I have an 2014 inspired flow which has the 170 mm 22t crank arms but they have the trial tech logo. Is there any reason why the ones you sell don't? thanks

Posted by Alex

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Alex - The latest batch we've received from Trialtech don't appear to have the logos on. I'm not too sure why they don't have logos on there, but they're the same model of crank as the version with logos. Thanks, Mark

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Clive - thanks for your question. Yes, that sounds like the Offset you're talking about, though the best way to measure it is to place the inside face of the BB/chainring end of the crank on a table, and measure the distance between the table and the inside face of the pedal end of the crank. If your cranks are the same or less than these cranks, they should fit just fine. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

when do you think you will have these back in stock? is there a cheap alternative for an onza bird crankset?

Posted by callum

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Callum - thanks for your question. Unfortunately we are unsure when we will have any of these back in stock. Our suppliers are out of stock and have no expected due date for any more. As for cheaper options, we are not aware of any. For cranks that will stand up to trials usage, 40 for a pair of cranks, chainring and bashring is about the best value for money you can get! Thanks, Flipp.

Ross Ekins

Hiya, Dont suppose this crankset will fit a Koxx Djinn 2002 model? http://i665.photobucket.com/albums/vv14/charlies106/13122009224.jpg

Posted by Ross Ekins

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Ross - unfortunately we're not too familiar with that particular model, but there's an easy way you can find out for yourself. If you remove the crank-bolts, and look where it was seated you will find either a square hole in the crank, or a splined circle. If your cranks are the square type, and we're reasonably confident they will be, these cranks will fit your bike. If they are the other type, you will need ISIS cranks. Hope that helps! Thanks, Flipp.

Hello, would this crank fit my Onza Hitman 26"?

Hi Cammy - these would fit on that bike just fine. Thanks, Flipp.

dave hadlow

will this fit on a monty x-hydra? thinking of doing bb at sametime. Would the trialtech be sufficient

Posted by dave hadlow

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Dave - This crankset should fit on the X-Hydra fine, especially if you're using the Trialtech Race Square Taper BB with it. Thanks, Mark

Would this fit my onza rip 2009 if I had a shamino bottom bracket?

Posted by Billy

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Billy - These should fit your Rip fine. Thanks, Mark

luke harrison

Hello, could you possibly tell me the size of the square's thats on the ends of the arm's as iam not sure the arms will fit on the axel. Thank's

Posted by luke harrison

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Luke - The square taper on these cranks are the same as all the other models of square taper cranks available, so if you have a square taper BB then these should fit! Thanks, Mark

Jordan Thornton

Hey i have a old K9 Handsome Dog 20" would this crank set fit it

Posted by Jordan Thornton

Hi Jordan - As long as you have a square taper BB they should fit fine. Thanks, Mark

Ian Hobbs

do these take a 3/32 or 1/8th inch chains. will they fit a shimano square taper chainset

Posted by Ian Hobbs

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Ian - You can use either 3/32" or 1/8" chains with the Onza T-Bird Crankset. They should also fit on to any square taper BB. Thanks, Mark

sean alexander

Hey there I was just wondering if these would fit the Onza Bird?

Posted by sean alexander

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Sean - These should work fine. Thanks, Mark

brad morris

Does it come with the crank bolts? Many thanks, Brad

Posted by brad morris

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Brad - The T-Bird Crankset is supplied without crank bolts. Thanks, Mark

hi, would these fit my onza rip 2010? whats the normal delivery time this close to christmas??? cheers James

Posted by James

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi James - They should fit your Rip fine. We're still able to dispatch orders the same day they're received (as long as they're before our cut-off time), but because of the adverse weather conditions and large volume of Christmas mail in general, delivery times from Royal Mail and our couriers are a little slow. Our couriers are advising that pre-Christmas delivery cannot be guaranteed in some parts of the UK because of this. Thanks, Mark

stephen taylor

would a 110mm spindle length be ok?

Posted by stephen taylor

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Stephen - That largely depends on your frame. If it's a trials frame, then almost certainly not. The shortest you could realistically use would be around 119mm. Thanks, Mark

What spindle length is this meant to go with?

Posted by Glenn

Reply from TartyBikes

Hello - Ideally, a 128mm spindle would be best to ensure maximum clearance, although depending on your setup you may be able to use a shorter one. Thanks, Mark
