Questions

chris loddington

Hi :) will this fit on the normal Pro 2 hub? Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris - Unfortunately, this axle isn't compatible with the regular Pro 2 hub. Thanks, Mark

Vladimir

Hi! Is the 135x12 thru axle compatible with Pro 2 Trials EVO?

Posted by Vladimir on 12/02/2013

Reply from TartyBikes on 12/02/2013

Hi Vladimir - The 12mm axle is only compatible with the hub fitted to the rear of the Inspired Skye. If you have a 'normal' hub (e.g. Hope Pro 2 Trials, Hope Pro 2 Evo Trials) then it will not fit, sorry. You will need the 10mm version. Thanks, Mark

Sebastian

Hello, I have an Hope Pro 2 Evo Hub 15mm thru axle. However I don't have the axle for this hub. What will work for this application? Thanks!!!!

Hi Sebastian - thanks for your question. We're a little confused as to what you mean. Do you mean a front or rear hub? If you email us with a bit more detail about what you have and what you want to do we might be better able to help you. Some pictures of the hub you have might help clarify things a little too. Thanks, Flipp.

Albert

Hi guys! I'm not sure if already answered this, because there was a question where you recommended a 10mm axle, but will the steel 135x12mm axle work on a Hope Pro 2 Evo Trials on a Crewkerz? Is the aluminum one the same just different material? Thanks!

Hi Albert - The Steel 12mm through axle uses the same design/dimensions as the Alloy 12mm version so is a direct replacement, but is much stronger. Thanks, Mark

Kieran

Hey. I have a hope pro 2 trials/ss hub. I'm in need of a replacement axle. I believe I need the 10mm bolt in for the non-evo hub (hub218) can you confirm this? Thankyou!

Hi Kieran - If it's the old/original Pro 2 Trials hub, prior to the introduction of the Evo model, then HUB218 should do the trick for you. Thanks, Mark

Josh

Hi, I have both a Pro 2 Trials and a Pro 2 Evo Trials and want to convert one of them to 135x12mm maxle. Could you tell me a. if it's possible, and b. which axle for either one I'd need? Thanks a bunch!

Hi Josh - Unfortunately, we're no longer able to get hold of axles to suit the Pro 2 hub. We stock axles for the Pro 2 Evo Trials hub though, and they're listed on our website. The correct axle is part no. HUB1007-3. You would need new axle end caps too, unless you just drill or file your existing ones out to 12mm. Thanks, Mark

Hi ! What axle I should take for the Hope Pro 2 Trials EVO, 32h? What size ? I have an Inspired Fourplay Team 2012. Thanks.

Hi Victor - It sounds like you would need the 10mm EVO - Alloy - HUB236 - 38D option. Thanks, Mark

Rory Semple

I have the original hope pro 2 hub and the thread on one side has been stripped. I am just wondering exactly which version of this to order? Cheers guys!

Hi Rory - Unfortunately, axles for the original Pro 2 Trials hubs are no longer available from Hope. Your best bet would be to speak to any local engineers/machinists and see if they could machine one for you. They're relatively simple to make so it shouldn't be too difficult or cost too much. Sorry we can't be more help! Thanks, Mark

Brilliant service!

After phoning Tarty Bikes to see if it was possible to get an axle for the original PRO 2 , They were able to order the right axle in from Hope and still have it delivered to me within a few days! This was brilliant as it went I could then go on a group ride in Glasgow and had no issues. Thanks Guys

Thanks Rory - it was no trouble at all. Glad you were able to get out riding again quickly!
