This is a workshop service, not an item that will be sent to you

- Want to make sure your bottom bracket is a doddle to fit when your spanking new frame arrives?
- Add this item to your cart (along with your frame, obviously!), and we'll take care of the rest, cleaning up all the threads in your BB shell.
- Can be done on an existing frame you already have. Removal/refitting of an existing Bottom Bracket will be subject to an additional charge.
- We recommend fitting bottom brackets with anti-sieze compound to ensure easy removal should you need to do so at a later date.

Additional Information

We try and keep prices for these items as low as possible, and we feel that these are more than reasonable prices to pay for professionally trained mechanics to work on your bike.

I had to send a flatland frame to get its threads chased, even though it's steel, Tartybikes was really great with everything. Mark kept in touch regularly about it via email, and the end result did not disappoint! Great price too, I purposefully chose not to go to an LBS or even a MTB specialist store because they charge horrendous amounts for service (sometimes up to 3 or 4 times that of the Tarty price!) with often less than enthusiastic staff. Not ideal for an expensive frame! Overall very happy with this service and one of the only things I'd give a 5 star rating without hesitation. Go for it whenever you feel your BB isn't screwing in so happily, it is worth it! But always be careful with BB threads: too little grease, or slightly wonky screwing in isn't worth it! Big thanks to everyone on the TartyBikes team, and in this case especially Mark. Top quality service and communications.
