A Guide to Bash Plates

Bash plates come in two different fitting types, please ensure you purchase the correct one for your frame. One type has all three bolts mounted vertically and the other has the two rear bolts pointing towards the bottom bracket shell. To help you select the right fitment, we list the most common frames that each bashplate fits in their descriptions. If you are still unsure about which one to choose, don't hesitate to ask!

Some manufacturers also offer lightweight bashplates (such as the Echo SL or Koxx XTP) - while these are more than strong enough to fend off the odd knock, as with all bashplates they are not designed to withstand repeated deliberate impacts.
