- Individually hand made in Spain, these shoes cannot be rivalled by any other in quality or workmanship.
- Designed and tested by us for over 6 months, the Ribo Lite features:
- Suede material, much more flexible, durable and supple than before.
- 'No buckle' design reduces weight and bulk while also increasing the flexibility and feel of the shoe. Removing the buckle has also made the shoe slimmer and much less easy to hit when in tight spaces.
- Low ankle allows for better flexibility and reduced weight.
- Lace system (laces supplied but not shown on photos for neatness) with velcro-fitting outer tongue allows a perfect fit and keeps all the fitting systems hidden away.
- 'Flat' toe helps to prevent it from being snagged/caught and improves gluing durability.
- Famous 'Davos' sole, made in Italy, offers great grip and lasts well.
- Classy grey and black colouring is stylish yet unobtrusive.
- Comes as a pair, with a free Ribo carrying bag!
- Weight: 564g a pair (Size 42).
- Any sizes no longer listed are not made any more, hence the discount and only a small selection available. Please consult the sizing chart in the additional images before ordering.

Additional Information

To help with sizing, check out the additional sizing chart picture.

The insoles on these shoes are marked as 1 or 2 sizes smaller than the actual size of the shoe, just so you are not confused when you receive your shoes!

Sam Bennett

I prefer platform pedals to caged pedals but do you think the soles on these shoes will last as long on platform pedals with sharp pins as well as they would on caged pedals? Thanks, Sam.

Hi Sam - From my experience (and from looking at my shins!), caged pedals can be just as sharp as platform pedals! Adam and Stan use their Ribo Lites with platform pedals and seem to have quite good wear life from the shoes (for example Stan's Ribos are well over 6 months old now). Thanks, Mark

Hello. I am Chinese. Now there is a three questions to ask. 1 I purchased on the site after it is mailed directly to China? 2.2005 shall MAHURA-HS33 brakes have lengthened the brake lever? 3 There is no RB brake handle?

Hi Iris - thanks for your questions. 1) Yes, that is correct. 2) We are no longer able to purchase 2005 Magura brakes, so what we have left is all we are able to sell. 3) That is correct - we have never stocked RB brake levers. Thanks, Flipp.

I ordered these at 3pm, and the postman was knocking on my door at 9am the following morning, great service by Tarty (as always). These took about 30 mins of riding to get used to but after that they feel awesome. Top shoe great feel and look the part to. 5/5

Great shoes

Posted by Paul on 27/11/2012

There's a very good reason why the majority of the worlds best comp riders use Ribo shoes. Once bedded in after a couple of rides I've also found the reason why these shoes are so popular. Great grip and feel through the pedals on caged or platforms, light weight and comfy with a nice fit. Also come with a nice draw string bag wich is very useful after a muddy trial. Would recommend these shoe's to anyone who rides a lot of comp's / natural trials

Great Shoes

Posted by ThirstyHippo on 17/10/2013

I bought these shoes in 2009, got a size bigger since my size was sold out. I've been using these shoes for 4 years walking and riding..and they're really grippy and comfy. Mine came with a manufacturing glue fault but I brought it to the local cobbler to mend it. Still using it and waiting for it to be totally done before getting another one. Feels comfy like my old monty shoes except with better pricing. Pros : Comfy and Grippy (Same soles as Monty Shoes) Quite durable Cheaper than Monty(s) Cons : Laces tend to "de-fur" after awhile due to sticking to the Velcro Laces don't tighten much once the shoe has been well seasoned Tongue of shoe will fray up from pulling Thin white Insoles get very slippery when filled with water or sweat Because it made out of suede, it gets hard to dry when wet Stinks after awhile Great shoe all in all, I would re-buy it once my current one is done.

Perfect shoe!

Posted by Seth on 15/04/2015

I purchased this shoe because I need something durable and grippy. The "Davos" sole has excellent grip (on my cage pedals) and took no time to break in. I have about 6 rides on this shoe now and there doesn't appear to be any signs of wear on the sole at all. I had originally used the sizing chart to purchase the equivalent to my every day shoes but no matter what I did (removing my socks, removing the insole, sliding my heel all the way back in the shoe) the shoe was just 1 size too small. After I ordered the correct size, it fit like a glove. I would highly recommend getting your foot measured before purchasing these shoes to ensure a perfect fit. Thanks again Tarty for the impossibly quick shipping and top quality products!
