Hi, We don't have the pins in stock at the moment, sorry, but we are looking to get hold of them. The Try-All pins will fit, however you would need to glue/loctite them in place. Thanks, Adam

Hi, Why are they not suitable for use on 'normal' bicycles or unicycles?

Hello - When used for trials, the pedals come under different loads and forces compared to their usage on other bikes (e.g. BMXs) or on unicycles. They are designed to withstand static forces and 'normal' bicycles put more cyclic loads on the pedal axles. While they're fine for use on a trials bike (I've been using these pedals since they first came out, almost a year, and have had no issues with them), some customers have reported they've had some problems when using them on unicycles and some other types of bike. Thanks, Mark

How long are the pins once on the pedal body's?

Great Pedal

Posted by Chris on 20/04/2011

Ive been waiting for Tarty to get these instock for ages, so as soon as they were I ordered a set of Green ones. Having been riding on a knackered set of very old V8's these are something of a revelation. Before putting them on the bike I weighed them as they felt quite heavy but the scales never lie, each pedal was around the 166gram mark. Comparing these to my V8 (261 each) and my V12 with titanium axle (185 each) these are a bargain for the weight. The pedals dont spin freely like mtb pedals but this is prob a trials specific thing. I was a little worried that the grip wouldnt be as good as my V12 or my Welgo MG1 as there are no center pins but there was no need to worry. Pedal grip is excellent with no slippages as yet. Great pedal Great design Great weight Great price

awesome pedals

Posted by steve on 16/06/2011

these pedals are just awesome! plenty of grip, i feel like they are more grippy than my v12's which ive used for years. stunning looks and you can not believe how thin they are in profile. they do spin freely like the DMR's, its just they are so light they give the impression of not being as free. i would recommend these to anyone wanting a light weight grippy pedal. i use them on a street set up, so not being used for pure trials. love these pedals

Nice product

I've been using these pedals from the start of the summer and I'm very happy with them, they grip well, are strong, not bad weight wise and are good for the price :)

Good but bad...

Posted by Fredrich on 10/04/2012

Baught them i while ago for my 26" build, put them on and was like wooow super great and grippy. After about 5 hours i felt as if it had come loose. And it had... Not from the crank but in the bearings. Cant find any way to tighten it up again so i removed it and now its lying around. If there woudl be a way to tighten it up it would get 5 stars. /Fred

Hi Fred - Sorry to hear you've had some problems with your pedals! To tighten your pedal bearings up, you simply need to remove the little pedal end cap, then use a socket to tighten up the locknut inside the pedal itself. Once that's done you should be able to get the pedal tight enough! If you have any problems, feel free to get back in touch with us.

Really great pedals!

Very good grip from these pedals, however I wouldn't advise using these unless your wearing shinguards etc. because they can take pretty big chinks out of your shins if you're not careful lol

Reply from TartyBikes on 31/05/2012

Hi Michael - These are good pedals although as you mention they can be pretty harsh on your shins! This is the same for most pedals though I suppose. Thanks for the review!

very happy :)

They are very sturdy and are a massive improvement from my old Onza VP caged with no rattling :D
