The new, updated Tech 4 EVO TR4 brake from UK manufacturer, Hope Technology! Designed for gravity riding, the EVO TR4 is the general purpose brake of the new EVO range. Great for XC riding, but still capable for light Enduro and aggressive trail riding.

- The new Hope Tech 4 EVO brakes are here! Building on the highly successful Tech 4, the EVO range has had significant updates to the master cylinder and GR4 / TR4 callipers, increasing performance, adjustability, serviceability and user ergonomics!
- The most noticeable difference to the new EVO range, is the updated master cylinder. A brand-new lever blade features a deeper 'hook' at the blade end, for better control, especially on rough terrain. A new dimple design increases comfort, without sacrificing lever grip.
- Hope have also introduced three lever blade options to customise your brake to suit your riding style: Standard (supplied as standard on all new EVO brakes), Control, and Power. These lever blades are available separately.
- A brand-new lever cam design reduces 'freestroke', gives a firmer feel at bite point, and with the new 'roller cam' design improves modulation, increasing lever ratio, and thus power, the harder the lever is pulled!
- A secondary guide bush on the master piston reduces friction, for a lighter feel at the lever.
- A new top facing cylinder bleed port for easier, and less messy bleeding - at last!!
- The new TR4 calliper features resigned bore caps, which reduce the overall width of the calliper, for better frame compatibility. A known issue with older designs!
- The TR4 calliper uses the same large surface area brake pads as the GR4 calliper, giving increased power and control.

The new TR4 calliper is NOT compatible with vented rotors! This allowed Hope to have more consistency of wear and performance across its range of brakes with 3rd party rotors.
- A larger leading piston helps to balance braking forces and improves pad wear consistency.
- The EVO range retains the hinged clamp from previous the Tech 4 lever, which makes installation even easier with fewer parts equalling less weight!
- Calliper and lever body are both CNC machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aircraft spec aluminium.
- Independent Bite Point Control and Reach dials allow you to fully customise the feel and performance of the brake.
- Coloured reservoir caps and adjuster dials (sold separately) allow you to customise the look of your brake.
- Available in a range of colours, each with laser etched Hope E4 graphics. Please note: Black brakes are held in stock as standard (unless out of stock), all other colours are special order. Special order colours will be available soon, please contact us for more information.
- Available in Right or Left Hand option, in a single hose length of 2000mm for either brake.
- Supplied with tough kevlar-reinforced hosing to keep the weight down.

We have made a disc brake guidance and information sheet which will be very useful if you are not experienced with disc brakes (or even if you are!). We strongly recommend having a look over it before fitting your new brake. This can be downloaded here.
Important: This item is sold without rotor or adaptor. Please see the Additional Information tab for details of which rotor and adaptor you will need.
Please note: As part of the installation process customers should check torque of all fittings on this brake. Leaks from fittings, especially the banjo, are rarely covered under warranty.
