Additional Information

Ensure that your pedals are tightened to at least 310 in-lbs (35 Nm) every 5 minutes for the first few rides. Before fitting, it's also a good idea to make sure your pedal axles are clean (a wire brush works well) then greased before installation.
Similarly, always check crank bolt torque is at least 310 in-lbs (35 Nm) every 5 minutes for the first few rides, then each and every ride after that.
Failure to keep your pedals or crank bolts tight as described above is likely damage your cranks and this will not be covered under warranty.

Please note that the minimum required thread contact between crank arm and sprocket/freewheel is 7mm, and a 1.37" sprocket/freewheel with maximum internal thread diameter 33.80mm (NOT 1.375") must be used. Failure to adhere to this instruction will damage the cranks threads and this is not covered under warranty.

Always ensure freewheel/screw on sprocket threads are greased before installation.

Hi,i have these cranks on my 220 kamel, im looking for parts out there to replace that are a little lighter , cranks,(pedals like Echo or rockman) etc.. but i see these are the only cranks with the "diamond" hole install, so i woundering to drill holes in my stock cranks to win a few more grams, example 10mm size in the center and maybe 3-4 holes if its enought space, do you think i will weak the cranks about doing this if so? im still beginner and not jumping and landing hard from tall places. Or what cranksets could i use that is light that could fit this bike if so? thanks.

Hello - Breaking parts of your drivetrain usually leads to painful crashes so we definitely don't recommend drilling cranks! Cranks which feature drillings in them will typically have testing done on them to make sure they're strong enough, whereas just drilling out your cranks yourself will be much riskier. Even low-level riding puts a lot of pressure through them so in all honesty I wouldn't say it was worth the risk. Without switching to an ISIS bottom bracket and crankset it will be difficult saving weight, so changing some of the finishing kit such as pedals and bars would probably give a better saving. Saving weight from either end of the bike (e.g. front wheel/forks/bar for the front end of your bike or your rear wheel at the other end) will feel much more noticeable to you than saving it from the middle of your bike around your BB too, so it may be worth investigating that option first. Thanks, Mark
