Sold out

- Building on their tried-and-tested original Crankset, the Hope Evo Crankset features some upgrades!
- New self-extracting crank interface design simplifies installation and removal, removing the need for proprietary tools.
- New arm profile and interface helps shed almost 15% of the weight of the old cranks, while increasing stiffness!
- Updated locking collar design helps remove any side-to-side play.
- A 30mm diameter, 133.5mm length axle combined with 30-spline crank/BB interface ensures the utmost strength, stiffness and durability.
- Axle length suitable for use with 68/73mm bottom brackets (some other variations may also be compatible - please refer to Hope's compatibility chart here).
- Bearing preload adjuster ring on the non-drive crank arm allows you to dial in the tightness of the bottom bracket independently.
- Forged 7000-series alloy crank arms are incredibly stiff and strong, with CNC-machined recesses to save excess weight.
- Compatible with all Hope spline fitment bashrings and spiders, including the Inspired Hope Integrated Bashring.
- 141mm spacing from rear of left crank to rear of right crank gives equivalent clearance to some 22mm offset cranks on a 128mm ISIS BB. Please note: This crankset will not clear on Inspired Console or Arcade frames.
- Sold without Hope BB - this is available separately here.
- Available in a range of colours and lengths.
- Weight: 560g (170mm length)

Additional Information

Ensure that your pedals are tightened to at least 310 in-lbs (35 Nm) every 5 minutes for the first few rides. Before fitting, it's also a good idea to make sure your pedal axles are clean (a wire brush works well) then greased before installation.
Similarly, always check the black, M6 pinch bolt torque is at least 88 in-lbs (10 Nm) every 5 minutes for the first few rides, then each and every ride after that.
Failure to keep your pedals or crank bolts tight as described above is likely damage your cranks and this will not be covered under warranty.
The red, aluminium pre-load bolt featured on these cranks should not be used to tighten them on. This is used only to pull the cranks together and pre-load the bearings. It requires only "nipping" into place, and damage caused by over-tightening is not coverable by warranty.

I have an Inspired Hex Team with the Truvativ Descendant crankset. I messed up one of the crank arms and I'm looking for a replacement. Would these crank arms work on my bike?

Hi Ray!
Theoretically the Hope cranks will fit, but this particular model has been discontinued and replaced with the Evo crankset. We believe that the dimensions will be broadly similar so we assume they should clear too, but with no hands-on experience with them it's hard to say for sure, sorry!
Just in case - we offer a pedal thread helicoiling service, so if you've stripped the pedal threads in your Descendants we would be able to repair that for you. If it's anything major to do with the splines themselves, or the main crank arm, then it will probably be terminal unfortunately.
