Hi Connor - If it's an '06 Echo frame, I believe you'll need to use the 'Horizontal Mount' plate instead. A quick way to tell is that if your rear bash plate bolts screw into a little triangle pointing down from your chainstays you need the horizontal mount style of bashplate. If they screw up and into a flat plate between your chainstays you need the vertical mount style of bashplate. If you're still unsure, you're also welcome to e-mail us a photo of your bike so we can check it for you. Thanks, Mark

Hi Fred - the 2010 Pros were baby-blue with white graphics. If that's the one you have then you will need the Neon Horizontal Mount Bashplate. Thanks, Flipp.

Liam

Will it fit a 2009 20" onza blade frame. cheers for answering.

Posted by Liam on 02/06/2018

Reply from TartyBikes on 04/06/2018

Hi Liam - This bashplate won't fit your Blade frame unfortunately, the Blade uses "Horizontal Mount" style fittings, not Vertical Mount. As a result, the only bashplates we stock that would fit are the Monty bashplates. Unfortunately, other manufacturers have stopped making their horizontal mount bashplates as all frames have switched to different styles of bashplates now. Sorry we can't be more help! Thanks, Mark

Tight Fit

Posted by David on 13/11/2011

I found that this doesn't fit the Echo Lite (2009) really all that well; I had to sand the rubber block down a bit, and then it was still a very tight fit - there is no protection to the FW (18 tooth) if I accidentally must go to bash. It is very cheap and very pretty; great clearance, but I'd really only recommend this bash-plate for 16th sprocket or freewheel.

Reply from TartyBikes on 14/11/2011

Hi David - When installing the bashplate, did you make sure to fit the spacers between the bashplate and frame? Leaving them out would be the only reason I can think of for the bashplate rubber needing to be sanded down, or for it to not cover your freewheel properly. We've installed these before and although they are a tight fit, they usually go on well and cover a freewheel correctly. Thanks for the review!

Bad Fit

Posted by Will on 02/04/2012

I agree, its tight on the echo team 2009 as well and two of the supplied bolts were the wrong size, and like mentioned it doesnt cover the FW at all.

Reply from TartyBikes on 03/04/2012

Hi Will - The tight fit is largely caused by the way that the front bolts are tightening down in a different direction to the rears, so until the plate is in the right position it can be a fiddly job unfortunately. It's also strange to hear that you've had issues with freewheel coverage too - is there any chance you could send a photo of your setup to us? We've fitted these to a variety of Echo frames before and they've covered the freewheel fine before, so it'd be good to see in which way your setup differs. Regarding the bolts - sorry to hear that. If you'd be able to send them back to us we can get a replacement set sent out for you. Thanks for the review.

Doesn't fit Rockman Austin (V2)

Posted by kevan on 01/08/2013

This doesn't fit the Rockman Austin frame, I thought this bashplate would be fine after looking at the questions and it says " this will fit your Austin fine", Got it to fit but had to modify where the top bolt went, Good points: Looks great in silver and it is also high enough to cover the freewheel. Rating: 4.5 would of been a 5 if it would fit. Thanks

Reply from TartyBikes on 02/08/2013

Hi Kevan - sorry about that, there's been a bit of a misunderstanding. These bashplates do fit the Rockman Austin. I'm assuming you're talking about the framekit you recently purchased from us - you have the Austin V2 in which case you're right and it won't fit. The mounting points are in a different place to the original Austin V1. It sounds like you've got it sorted already, but thanks for pointing it out. I'll make it a bit clearer for other people! Thanks, Flipp.
