This bike is supplied with a 6 month warranty covering manufacturing and materials defects. The warranty does not cover mistreatment or poor maintenance. Please ensure all the details on the warranty sheet supplied with the bike are adhered to. Certain circumstances (such as stripped threads or rounded crank arm tapers) only occur due to a lack of correct maintenance and all manufacturers are aware of these situations, so any claims due to incorrect maintenance procedures are much less likely to be successful.

We build this bike to a 100% complete state in our workshop before dispatch to ensure all items are manufactured correctly and nothing is missing, but we do have to remove some parts to ensure there is no damage during transit. You will need some basic tools (usually 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 8mm allen keys and a 15mm spanner) for final assembly upon arrival. We have a video guide here to help, but please don't hesitate to contact us if you require any further assistance.

Please note that the specification on the bike may occasionally vary slightly from the photos and description. If this happens then the overall effect will be an upgrade and it will not affect the cosmetic appearance of the bike drastically.

Questions

Frank Hutton

Hi guys, the reach numbers on the Hex seem absurdly long (my MTB is considered pretty long at 475mm). Is this measured from centre of bb to centre of head tube horizontally? Thanks

Hi Frank!
Our reach measurements are measured directly from the centre of the BB shell to the centre of the top of the head tube. This quick diagram should hopefully help explain.
Trials frames will have longer reach than most MTB frames so this is to be expected to an extent. The body position on a trials bike is quite a lot different to most other types of bike so they will usually be outliers in terms of geometry, bar height and positiong and so on. The Hex has a few other things (such as a long head tube and steep head angle) which will distort it a little in comparison too.
Hopefully this helps, but if you have any more questions please ask.

Joel

Hi Iím looking at ordering the team hex. Iím wondering if the brake levers are set up the same in the UK and North America. The right hand controlling the rear and the left controlling the front is what Iím after. Just looking to confirm before I order.

Hi Joel!
When we set bikes up, we check the country it's being shipped to to work out which orientation the brakes need to be. If it's being shipped to the US, we'd always go for a right hand/rear setup unless requested otherwise.
At checkout you can also specify the orientation of brakes you'd prefer too, just to be doubly sure!
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Its time for my hex team to get a new bottom bracket, what size do I need?

Hi James!
If you have the newer Hex Team with SRAM Descendant cranks, you would need this BB.
If you have the older Hex Team with Truvativ Holzfeller cranks, you would need this BB.
Hopefully this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Best Hex Ever

Posted by Danny

Having owned the original Red coloured Hex, a Lime Green Hex and many street frames (Pashley, Megamo Radical, Ashton ET24, and Zebdi) over the past 20 years.. I can confidently say this is the BEST HEX EVER and one of the greatest street orientated trials bikes. Geometry is Dialed, the now shorter rear end and overall stiffness makes this a very responsive bike. Build Quality is absolutely top level, upon opening the box it was very reassuring how quickly and easily it all went together and parts fitted so well (in part due to the attention to detail from the Tarty Crew in pre-assembling every bike sold), amazing! When you jump on the bike for the first time - it is amazing how solid, reassuring, stiff and responsive the bike is, but that's nothing until you pick it up and realise the build is quite light too. Everything works as it should and the optional upgrade to the MT7 with the Danny Mac HC3 lever blades is a must do. The levers are solid, adjustable in reach and bite point - seperate of each other, and feel incredible. I am particularly fussy with making my levers feel just right, and this was done in just a few minutes - too easy! The new upgraded spec with Conti Tyres is a nice touch - just today I took the bike for a spin on some rocks and was instantly rewarded with a decent amount of grip. It was a change from the smooth concrete of the last few street rides but the tyres handled it perfectly. Very nice to see Continental Tyres on a stock complete! For the first time in a long time - I have got a complete that didn't require any parts being swapped out or upgraded. That is no easy achievement and something Inspired should be commended for. This is a top quality build, that looks the goods and most importantly performs even better.. All in all the bike is brilliant - even the most fussy riders would be impressed. The new paint job was something I wasnt sure I would like, but having had the bike for a bit now, I can say I love it. In the light it is very intricate and in the dark takes on a deep maroon colour. Complimented with Silver Inspired stickers, it is a winner. So, spec is a 10, looks is a 10 and performance is a 10. Inspired's have gotten better and better year on year and that's saying something as I still see a lot of the original frames still kicking on. If you want a serious 26 inch street bike that' can still handle the natty stuff, this is a proper weapon!!
