All bikes may feature small blemishes in the anodising or marks in the finish of other components - this does not affect your warranty.

This bike is supplied with a 6 month warranty covering manufacturing and materials defects. The warranty does not cover mistreatment or poor maintenance. Please ensure all the details on the warranty sheet supplied with the bike are adhered to. Certain circumstances (such as stripped threads or rounded crank arm tapers) only occur due to a lack of correct maintenance and all manufacturers are aware of these situations, so any claims due to incorrect maintenance procedures are much less likely to be successful.

We build this bike to a 100% complete state in our workshop before dispatch to ensure all items are manufactured correctly and nothing is missing, but we do have to remove some parts to ensure there is no damage during transit. You will need some basic tools (usually 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 8mm allen keys and a 15mm spanner) for final assembly upon arrival. We have a video guide here to help, but please don't hesitate to contact us if you require any further assistance.

Questions

Hello, I'm 191cm tall and I'm practicing trials as a complement to "conventional" MTB (mostly trail/enduro). I currently have a Monty 219 MAG 20" that I would like to upgrade. I also think that skills learned on a 26" would probably transfer better to my MTB. I don't have much knowledge about trials bike offerings and I wand to buy a nice quality bike that will last, at the same time, I don't quite need a full on pro bike. Do you think this bike would be a good fit for me ? How does it compare to the Jitsie Varial 1085 ? Thank you in advance.

Hello!
You're correct about skills transferring over better from a 26" bike to your MTB, so it sounds like something like the Pure or the Varial would be a good option for you.
Choosing between the Pure and the Varial is tricky as they each have their pros and cons. For example, the Pure features a tapered head tube, press fit BB, a splined drivetrain (rather than screw-on, making it easier to change the freewheel or sprocket) and Echo's own sprung chain tensioner system. These are all the kinds of features you'd find on one of our top of the range comp bikes, but at a much lower price. That said, the flip side is that the splined freewheel and sprocket use Echo's own spline system meaning you're restricted to just using Echo parts on them (unless you change cranks/rear hub). Equally, their press-fit BB is based around the Spanish BB standard so again you're a little more limited than you would be with the Varial.
Looking more at the Varial, it's built up using Jitsie's really popular aftermarket parts and is a solid bike. Their team were regularly finishing on the World Cup podium with an iteration of this bike. Most of the parts on the bike are standard fit so you've got a wider range of parts you could change to or upgrade further down the line. It might not have the same features as the Echo such as it just having a regular 1 1/8" headtube/fork, but the Jitsie forks are nice and tough so that shouldn't be a problem.
Previously the Jitsie was around 15-20% more expensive, but Jitsie brought the price of their Varial down in autumn last year so it's meant that the two bikes are a lot more closely matched now. As before, there are pros and cons to each bike, but both of them are great value for money and will be more than up to the job. It sounds like a cop out, but it's just a a sign of how competitive the 26" market is these days!
If you've got any more questions, feel free to ask.

Awesome

Dear Tartybikes, The bike was delivered today and after the short assembly I decided to go out a bit to have a try. It was just about 1 hour but this bike is...awesome...incredible. In the end of the previous year I bought from you a Fourplay Pro and for the first ride that was also very good feeling but this....Before so many years I also ordered from you a 24" Echo but I had to sell it so there was no much time to get to know the bike. And after so many years I get that feeling back....when you pick up the front wheel....I would say it is similar when you just standing on your legs. This bike is incredible precise, even tiny movements has effent on it...precise like a medical laser. :) I was afraid of the 26" that is will be convenient or will be hard to get use to it after the 24" experience but this short hour was enough to become one with it. I really can't wait the good weather to go out for practising and get better and better with it. Also you made a good job according to the assembly. :) Thank you Tartybikes! Peter
