4-Bolt and Disc
Disc Only

Sold out

  • 4-Bolt version now uses M6 bolts & clamps!
- Echo are continually updating and improving one of the most popular trials forks on the market!
- The legs are now parallel to each another, unlike previous models that featured the characteristic wide appearance.
- Super thick steerer tube - 8mm at the bottom and 5mm at the top - is pressed and then welded in place from underneath to ensure good strength, durability and stiffness.
- 6061-T6 aluminium alloy construction.
- These forks have a regular crown area so you need to use a crown race.
- International Standard disc mount is extra thick to help it cope with the increased braking forces found in trials riding.
- Rear-facing 4-bolt rim brake mounts use M6 threads instead of standard M5, which improves brake stiffness and thread durability.
- Brake mounts are spaced at 95mm and have a built-in strengthening plate transferring stress away from a common area of failure.
- Tough, forged 10mm dropouts designed to accept 10mm Echo axles, though will also work perfectly with regular 9mm and Quick Release axles.
- Supplied with a star nut pre-fitted.
- Available in Black with either 4-bolt and disc brake mounts, or disc only.
- Weight: 862g (disc only), 956g (4-bolt and disc).

Fork Dimensions
- Axle to Crown length: 405mm
- Axle Offset: 33mm
- Steerer tube length: 220mm

Additional Information

Please note that due to the design limitations of 4-Bolt forks, they are always less durable than the same model without the 4-Bolt mount fitted. The stiff section where the mount is located causes a stress riser, and this makes the fork more likely to break. We therefore advise that forks fitted with a 4-Bolt brake mount will always fail earlier than the same fork without this mount attached.

Please note some forks may be supplied with a crown race to fit Echo SL headsets. If you have a different model of headset, please remove this. Any questions, please ask. Thanks.

Questions

FRANCO

Hello !! I wanna know, if this forks is good for my bike Koxx Sky II pls. Is it reliable or you have a better Fork. Thank you

Hi Franco - thanks for your question. Yes, these are good, reliable forks that are trusted by many riders. It is hard to say what the "best" fork is because each person will want something different. These are really good if you want a good value fork and don't mind them being slightly heavier enabling them to be strong. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

Steffen

Which headset can i use with this fork? My frame needs external bearing cups. Is this one compatible? https://www.tartybikes.co.uk/standard_headsets/echo_sl_headset/c19p10593.html

Hi Steffen - Any standard headset would work with these forks. They don't feature an integrated crown race, so simply use the crown race supplied with the headset you're using and you'll be fine. The Echo headset you've linked to would work fine, but again all of the headsets in our 'Standard Headsets' category would work with these forks. Thanks, Mark

Vlad #romania.trials

Hello tartybikes,i have one question, will this fit on my frame? It is a magellan tucana magura 2006 blue. Im building the bike from skrach as it is my first trials bike and i need to know. Thanks,Vlad.

Hi Vlad - These forks should fit your bike fine. If you're using a rim brake on the front, please note that you will need to use brake clamps with M6 bolts rather than the standard M5 bolts. Thanks, Mark

V.

hi guys, i have this fork and i want to upgrade my disc from 180 to 203mm, what kind of adaptor do i need? cheers

Hello - If you can let us know exactly which brake you're using we'll do our best to help. Without knowing the brake type we can't specify which adaptor you'd need, sorry. Thanks, Mark

Ferenc Boldizsár

Hi, is the steerer tube made by two pieces? In the 3rd picture it seems two pieces, although Echo Urban 2013 and the Tapered types' steerer tubes definitely look like one piece. Thanks, Feri

Hi Feri - As mentioned in the description, the 2015 Urbans use a 2-piece steerer tube/crown: "Super thick steerer tube - 8mm at the bottom and 5mm at the top - is pressed and then wended in place from underneath to ensure good strength, durability and stiffness." Thanks, Mark

Kris Gierski

Is this forks ok for 24 inch frame (bike), I'm asking because in the title i can see "Echo Urban 26", just to make sure that this is the same fork as "Echo Urban 24" only without 4 bolt brake mount. Thanks. Kris.

Hi Kris - If you're planning on using a disc brake for your front wheel then these should work fine on your 24" bike. Thanks, Mark

Buga Vlad

Hi tartybikes, sooo irecived the fork about 2 months ago and it is awestsome really well made xtreamly thick sterer tube ,i would say it is indestructible, but: here is the problem. so before i ordered it you said that i would need bigger bolts and i thaught (this might sound stupid) echo fork....how about echo tr mounts....aaand the bolts are still not thick enough.... Please i need help and chainging the mounts doesnt count. (They are echo tr no ball spacer) Thanks

Hello - If the bolts are too thin for the mounts, it sounds like you have M5 clamps - you will need M6 bolts. If you're currently using M5 mounts then you'll also need to drill or file them to accept a wider bolt too. Echo make M6 TR Clamps to use with these forks for that reason. The standard TR clamps use M5 bolts so won't work without modifying them. Thanks, Mark
