Echo SL 26"

- Steerer has been considerably thickened over previous models for improved strength. Steerer tube is now 5mm thick at the top, tapering to 9mm at the bottom. There is a recess inside the bottom of the crown (reducing wall thickness back to 6mm) to remove weight where it isn't necessary.
- Oversized and internally butted tubes for the legs provide an excellent strength to weight ratio (also giving a larger contact/weld area at the crown), while giving a reassuringly 'chunky' look to the fork.
- Features the same built-in crown race as seen on the 2012 model. This is ideal for use with Echo SL Headsets, or any headset with a sealed 36 or 45 cartridge bearing on the lower cup (but not Chris King, as the taper is too small). Using a traditional crown race will void the warranty.
- Large, 'v'-shaped cut-out at the underside of the crown reduces material where it isn't required, helping to shed more of the fork's overall weight.
- Uses the same tried and tested one piece steerer as previous year's Echo forks. Star nut included.
- Available for 26" wheel bikes only, with a 8mm thick disc tab to take the extra stresses involved in trials riding.
- New forged dropouts look great and give improved strength.
- Classy matt anodised black finish with laser etched logos.
- Weight: 761g (Disc only)
- Weight includes full length steerer tube.

Fork Dimensions

- Axle to Crown length: 400mm
- Axle Offset: 30mm
- Steerer tube length: 185mm

Hi Alex - thanks for your question. The Echo front hubs and forks use a 10mm axle, but the forks will work perfectly with all other manufacturers 9mm axle hubs. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

So even though these forks are specific for the echo SL headset or others that meet it's specks.I'd run it without the use of the crown race that comes with the headset?

Hi Bobby - yes, that's right. If your headset is suitable for use with these forks then the bearing simply sits directly on the forks. You do not fit a crown race. Thanks, Flipp.

i have af dirtjumper that have af suspension fork RST. but i feel its a bit on the heavy side. so i would like a rigid fork. but would this fork fit and will it hold up. Nothing big just pumptrack and bmx tracks. if not what fork should i choose then. :)

Hi Jens - I wouldn't recommend these forks for pump tracks or BMX tracks simply because they're designed to be used for trials, where mostly the forks aren't really having to do too much for the most part! This is a similar story for most of our forks too, except for the Inspired Tapered and Arcade forks which are designed for street trials use. These should hold up really well. The only thing to note is that they're much, much shorter than suspension forks, so your BB height will drop and your head angle will steepen. Thanks, Mark
