This bike is supplied with a 6 month warranty covering manufacturing and materials defects. The warranty does not cover mistreatment or poor maintenance. Please ensure all the details on the warranty sheet supplied with the bike are adhered to. Certain circumstances (such as stripped threads or rounded crank arm tapers) only occur due to a lack of correct maintenance and all manufacturers are aware of these situations, so any claims due to incorrect maintenance procedures are much less likely to be successful.

We build this bike to a 100% complete state in our workshop before dispatch to ensure all items are manufactured correctly and nothing is missing, but we do have to remove some parts to ensure there is no damage during transit. You will need some basic tools (usually 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 8mm allen keys and a 15mm spanner) for final assembly upon arrival. We have a video guide here to help, but please don't hesitate to contact us if you require any further assistance.

Please note that the specification on the bike may occasionally vary slightly from the photos and description. If this happens then the overall effect will be an upgrade and it will not affect the cosmetic appearance of the bike drastically.

Questions

Axel Elí Axelsson

Can this be send to iceland. And what are the difference between Flow and Flow plus.

Posted by Axel Elí Axelsson

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Axel!
Shipping a bike to Iceland is no problem! We ship bikes worldwide every day so we're used to getting bikes to their destinations safely. If you'd like to check shipping prices, simply add a bike to your basket and click the 'View Basket' button. Our website will then calculate your options and display prices for them.
Compared to the Flow, the Flow Plus has upgraded alloy forks, upgraded Maxxis tyres, splined Truvativ crankset, cable discs as standard and upgraded finishing kit such as the pedals. You do get a lot of upgrades for the difference in price!
If you have any more questions, please ask.

Markus

Hello Tarty I would like to swap my rear hub for a HOPE PRO 4 TRIALS / SS would that be possible? If so, which other parts would I need except the hub? Thanks in advance

Posted by Markus

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Markus!
That would be possible, but you'll need a few extra parts:
A 16t Splined Sprocket (we recommend the Trialtech Sport or Gusset DoubleSix).
A cassette lockring. A new set of 24" Spokes.

You should be able to re-use your existing rim, rim tape, tube and tyre, so getting these bits along with your new rear hub would give you the bits you'd need to re-build your back wheel with the Hope hub laced into it.
Hopefully this helps - if you have any more questions, please ask.

Anton Bugge

Is it possible to change the rear sprocket to a 12T for example if the gearing is a bit low for getting from spot to spot? In the description, it looks like the sprocket is part of the freehub. "Freewheel: Trialtech 16T, 72-click (upgrade over the standard Flow mode" Any help would be appreciated, have a nice day!.

Posted by Anton Bugge

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Anton!
Due to the Flow Plus using a rear hub that requires a screw-on freewheel, it wouldn't be possible to lower the gearing without using a totally different rear hub (specifically the Hope Pro 4 Trials/SS Rear Hub fitted to the Team spec Inspired bikes). The hub uses a standard freewheel thread size, so 16t is the lowest it's possible to go as standard. There are 14t freewheels available but they require the smaller BMX-specific 'micro drive' thread standard.
In terms of getting spot to spot, street trials bikes aren't as fast as a BMX or mountain bike but aren't much of a problem. A lot of people interested in getting hold of one of these bikes tend to be concerned about going from A to B on them, but when they get hold of a bike and start riding it realise it isn't an issue. As an example, our team rider Ben Travis did a 3 day filming trip in London that involved riding over 26 miles in a day going from spot-to-spot and that was using the standard 22:16 gearing on an Inspired Arcade (you can see more from that trip here).
The other thing to consider with changing the gear ratio is that if you make the gearing too heavy, you greatly reduce the ability to do trials moves on the bike as you lose the instant acceleration/power you need for moves like gaps and other static-based trials moves. Dropping down to something like 22:12 would make any trials-style moves extremely difficult.
Hopefully this helps - if you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Hi Dominik!
There is no frame size for this bike as such - Inspired only make one size of Flow Plus 24".

Luca

Hello. on my Flow Plus it's time to change the chainring, which chainring do i need and which tools do i need for the change? Thanks

Posted by Luca

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Luca!
To change your chainring, you'll need a Crank Removal Tool and a few allen keys (one for your crank bolt, and one for the chainring bolts).
For the chainring itself, something like the Sunrace Chainring would be an ideal replacement. That said, any 22t chainring with a 64mm BCD would work fine so if you'd prefer a different model then as long as it has those dimensions it should fit absolutely fine.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

steifkartoffel

Hi TartyBikes, does the Flow fit 26" Wheels? Thanks.

Posted by steifkartoffel

Reply from TartyBikes

Hello!
The Flow is only able to be used with 24" wheels, not 26".
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Chris

Is this bike good for street and park riding ?

Posted by Chris

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Chris!
The Inspired bikes are aimed at street trials, but due to their geometry and design you can still session skateparks and street on them. The only thing to note is that they have a relatively light gearing (which makes them better for trials moves), so won't give you as much speed as you'd be able to on a dedicated street or park bike.

Josef Schwimmbeck

Hello I need a new chain for my Inspired Flow Plus which one I need? And which tools do I need to disassemble the old chain and mount the new one? Thanks -Josef Schwimmbeck

Posted by Josef Schwimmbeck

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Josef!
We would recommend the KMC Z610 HX 3/32" chain for your bike.
To trim it to length and fit it to your bike, you will need a chain tool like the Icetoolz Standard MTB Chain Tool.
Lastly, if you need help with fitting it, here's a video guide we made that should help!

Nondas

Hello i am 6.2 feet tall and i would like to know if the size of the frame suits me

Posted by Nondas

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Nondas!
You should fit this bike fine at that height. We know riders of a similar height riding the bike with no problem.
If you found that it felt a little short, you could adjust the fit of the bike by changing handlebars and/or stem. This would be quite easy to do and would allow you to customise the bike to your preferences.
That said, as standard you shouldn't have any issues!

Daniel

When it comes to assembling my Flow plus, does it come with the recommended torque settings? Or are they at least available online somewhere? Cheers!

Posted by Daniel

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Daniel!
The recommended torque settings aren't supplied with the bike (although some of the torque settings related to the crankset/BB will be in the documentation with it).
For the most part these bikes are pretty tough and won't be quite as sensitive to torque as, say, a high end carbon road bike or mountain bike would be for strength reasons.
We have received these settings from Inspired in the pasts which may be of use to you:
Trialtech stem steerer clamp bolts: 6-8Nm
Trialtech stem handlebar clamp bolts: 5-6Nm
Inspired seat clamp: 3-4Nm
Trialtech pedals: 35-40 Nm
Trialtech hub bolts: 10-12Nm
Please note that these figures are for guidance only. The exact amount required to hold each component securely can vary depending on the condition of the parts, presence of lubricant/thread lock on the threads and any damage that may have occurred to the component, bolt or threads.

As before, they're quite tough little bikes so you shouldn't have any issues provided you aren't going over the top with tightening parts up. The key point to watch out for is if you use the Magura MT4 or MT7 brake upgrades as the bar clamps are different on those to all other brakes levers. On the rear of the bar clamp are two little arrows - the bolt they are pointing at needs to be bottomed out completely, then the tension adjusted using the other bolt. The other bolt only needs to be nipped up. If you evenly tension both bolts (as you would for other levers), the bar clamp will be much more prone to snapping.

This bike is discontinued in Fluro Yellow, sorry. It is now only available in Gloss Orange.

Carter

Hello, is there any Flow plus 24 2017 models left?

Posted by Carter

Reply from TartyBikes

Hello!
There are no older models of Inspired bikes left, sorry.
They tend to be very popular so we usually sell through our stock not long after receiving them. This usually means that there won't be previous generation bikes available, sorry.

Eric

Hi! What is the main differencies between flow plus and fourplay pro? Regards

Posted by Eric

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Eric!
The primary difference between the Flow Plus and the Fourplay Pro is the Fourplay frame kit itself.
The Fourplay frame kit is an upgrade from the Flow Plus frame and features things like:
- A tapered head tube and tapered steerer tube fork, which makes the bike stiffer and stronger.
- An integrated sprung chain tensioner.
- A 15mm front through axle that makes the forks and front wheel stiffer.
- The option to run the front brake hose through the steerer tube as it has a threaded top cap.
- A lower overall weight (the complete bike is around 0.6kg lighter) and more strength overall.

A lot of the spec is carried over between the two, such as the bar and stem, crankset and seat/post. However, the Fourplay Pro comes with Magura MT4 hydraulic disc brakes as standard, and also features upgraded Inspired hubs too.
Hopefully this helps - if you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Max Bryzgalov

What about shipping. Is it free or how much does it cost if i live in Russia, Kazan.

Posted by Max Bryzgalov

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Max!
We can ship to Russia, but the customs import limit is too low for us to send a complete bike, sorry!
The limit fluctuates fairly often, so it would be worth checking with your government. We ship parts to Russia using FedEx, so if the limit is raised then getting a bike to you would be no problem.

Love it

Posted by David

Just built and bedded in the brakes on my new 2017 flow plus and I love it , the colour is slightly darker that the picture but I like it even more . Got the stock avid brakes as I'm a beginner and they are good enough to start on . Also had the inspired headlock fitted so I didn't have to try myself later on . Thanks to Adam who I bombarded with questions before I ordered and the people I spoke to on the phone all very helpful ( tarty bikes are the best shop I have ever dealt with ) . Just got to find a quiet place to start riding properly and get used to it . Thank you tarty bikes

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi David - It's great to hear that you like your new bike. The colour does come out a touch darker 'in real life' due to the nature of it being shot in a studio typically, but luckily it looks good in both forms. Thanks for your review - we appreciate the kind words too.

Fantastic bike & service

Posted by Robby

I bought my Flow Plus with in mind to have performance capabilities and not spend a small fortune as I haven't been on the pedals for 7 years. Shortly after receiving the bike I was impressed with the geometry and feel of the bike as well as the quality parts fitted and the color! The bike gives me confidence on the streets and I couldn't have been more pleased to be riding again. Tarty bikes your service was exceptional, you truly are the best, hands down.

Reply from TartyBikes

Thank you Robert - really glad to hear you've had a positive experience, both with us and the bike. Enjoy!
