Lightweight double walled front rim from Because!

- A lightweight double walled front 24" trials rim from Because.
- Can also be used as a rear due to the double wall construction.

- Un-eyeletted construction saves over 50g when compared with eyeletted rims.
- Parallel sidewalls make setting up the brake easier, especially when using washerless models of brake clamp.
- 29mm wide profile helps keep weight low whilst still giving good tyre stability.
- Available in 32h only.
- A range of 5 colours available: Black, White, Red, Gold or Silver.
- Weight: 469g
- ERD: 495mm

Hole Diameter: 18mm

How does the rim width of this rim compare to the 37mm on an Echo TR rim performance wise. I won't be doing any up to front wheel for any time soon but would like to have a lighter front rim. I'm not sure about the 29mm though. I currently run a 35mm wide rim with a 24x2.1 tyre.

Hi Nico - thanks for your question. The only thing you might notice is the tyre being slightly less stable on off-camber surfaces. The rim being narrower will make the tyre profile a little rounder, so you might find it a little more willing to fold over under high force with low tyre pressures. For the most part, however, you'll likely not notice much of a difference. I hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

Hi Guys I wanted to ask if this rim could be used on the rear because it double walled?

Hi Scott - thanks for your question. This rim could definitely be used on the rear, but the rim is quite narrow (29mm) compared to most modern rear trials rims (~40mm). If that is what you are after then this will work absolutely fine. Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.

Oh sorry and 1 more question. I currently am using the inspired team drilled 24". Would I need to get new spokes, or would the length be the same?

Hi Clifford - You would need new spokes unfortunately. There would be around a 3mm difference in spoke length required. Thanks, Mark

Alexey Petrov

Hi guys Are these rims actually the 29mm model which weights ≈469g, or is it the new modification that is 38mm wide and weights about 600 grams? Also do you think there is any chance of getting white rims back in stock? Thank you, Alexey

Hi Alexey - thanks for your question. Yes, these rims are actually the 29mm version that weigh 469g. We tried to order white rims with our last order but the supplier did not have any. We will try again when we place our next order (in around 6-8 weeks). Hope that helps. Thanks, Flipp.
