This bike is supplied with a 6 month warranty covering manufacturing and materials defects. The warranty does not cover mistreatment or poor maintenance. Please ensure all the details on the warranty sheet supplied with the bike are adhered to. Certain circumstances (such as stripped threads or rounded crank arm tapers) only occur due to a lack of correct maintenance and all manufacturers are aware of these situations, so any claims due to incorrect maintenance procedures are much less likely to be successful.

We build this bike to a 100% complete state in our workshop before dispatch to ensure all items are manufactured correctly and nothing is missing, but we do have to remove some parts to ensure there is no damage during transit. You will need some basic tools (usually 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 8mm allen keys and a 15mm spanner) for final assembly upon arrival. We have a video guide here to help, but please don't hesitate to contact us if you require any further assistance.

Questions

Rocky

Dear Sir/Madam, May I know the real package sizes and weight when shipped? Also is it possible to order righthand side for front brake and lefthand side for rear brake? Thanks a lot.

Reply from TartyBikes

Hello!
Package sizing can vary slightly, but as a rough estimate it will be approximately 126cm x 22cm x 66cm with a total weight of around 15kg.
If you'd like to check our shipping prices, simply click the 'Add to basket' button then click 'View Basket' - our website will work out the delivery types available and display their estimated delivery times and prices for you.
We always check where a bike is being delivered to before shipping it, and when it is in the workshop being built change the brake lever orientation to suit the country it's going to. You can also select which side you would like each lever at the Checkout stage.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Can the pulley tensioner be problematic as compared to the snailcams? Do they slip much or break and need to be replaced?

Hi Daryl!
The sprung tensioners tend to be a bit more adjustment free than snail cams as they take up the slack themselves. This can be useful when dealing with screw-on sprockets or freewheels as if there's a lack of concentricity the tensioner will take up the additional slack whereas that isn't possible with snail cams.
In general they are nice and strong too - they're tucked out of the way so they are less susceptible to impacts than previous style sprung tensioners mounted on a mech hanger.
They've been used on a wide range of bikes for the past 2-3 years with no problems so you needn't be put off by them!
