This bike is supplied with a 6 month warranty covering manufacturing and materials defects. The warranty does not cover mistreatment or poor maintenance. Please ensure all the details on the warranty sheet supplied with the bike are adhered to. Certain circumstances (such as stripped threads or rounded crank arm tapers) only occur due to a lack of correct maintenance and all manufacturers are aware of these situations, so any claims due to incorrect maintenance procedures are much less likely to be successful.

We build this bike to a 100% complete state in our workshop before dispatch to ensure all items are manufactured correctly and nothing is missing, but we do have to remove some parts to ensure there is no damage during transit. You will need some basic tools (usually 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 8mm allen keys and a 15mm spanner) for final assembly upon arrival. We have a video guide here to help, but please don't hesitate to contact us if you require any further assistance.

Questions

Scott

How would this compare in feel to an early 2000s monty x lite 221 mod 20? I picked up an inspired Skye 24 and Im really not getting into the 24 bikes versus my old mod bikes.

Posted by Scott

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Scott!
This bike will certainly feel more like your Monty compared to the Skye, although the shorter chainstay length and slightly higher BB will make it feel a little more agile than your Monty will have done.
We find that riders tend to get on better with bikes with a familiar wheel size to them, and if you're used to an older style of mod like the X-Lite the Alias won't be too dissimilar.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Joona Ollila

Is there enough cleareance in the rear triangle to fit a wider tyre? Cheers

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Joona - We've done a more trials-orientated version of this bike with a 19" rear tyre that was 2.5" wide, so you can fit a fairly wide trials tyre in there if you wanted to. Thanks, Mark

Joe

Hi there, What spacer configuration are you using on the rear hub for this build? I have the same hub in an Alias with the snail cams on the inside too. The Jitsie hub comes with 2 thick and 2 thin axle spacers and I was wondering what the best combo would be as I am currently running a thin on the drive and a thick on the disc sides. Cheers, Joe

Hi Joe - The Jitsie hub typically uses the thin spacers on each side when you're using snail cams, or the thick ones if you aren't. The only real difference it makes is how well the disc rotor on your hub will line up - if you're having issues then it would suggest something is off! Alternatively, you can measure the width of your hub, spacers and snail cams and make sure it's 116mm. Thanks, Mark

Lyn

Hi, is it available in black color (or going to)?

Posted by Lyn

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Lyn - This frame is only available in the colour shown. We don't know what future plans Alias have for colour options, sorry! Thanks, Mark

Vinh Cimiotti

Hi, would it change the Price if we change some parts like breaks , stem or something like these ?

Posted by Vinh Cimiotti

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Vinh - Tweaking the spec would alter the price, for example the Hope brakes are relatively expensive compared to, say, the Magura MT2 or MT4s, so the price would drop as a result. If you've got any specific changes or requests in mind feel free to e-mail us at tartybikes@gmail.com and we'll do our best to help out. Thanks, Mark
