would this frame fit an onza t-bird parts?

Hi Olly - As long as you have the T-Bird with the 19" rear wheel (Rather than early models with a 20" rear rim), the parts should mostly swap over quite easily. The only parts which might not fit would be the headset and the brakes. This is because some models of the T-Bird used an internal headset compared to the standard headset you'd need for the Onza Blade '09 frame. If you required a new headset to fit, they start off at around £9 or so. If your T-Bird frame uses V-brake mounts then you may also need some new brake clamps or adaptors to use the 4-bolt mounts on the Blade frame. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Thanks, Mark

Hi Oli - This would require a standard headset. Thanks, Mark

will i need to use cups for the head set in this frame?? and if so what is the best way to remove cups from an old frame?

Hi Elliot - You will need to use headset cups in this frame. There is a special tool to remove headset cups (The Xpert Headset Rocket does the job nicely), although if you're careful it's possible to use a hammer and screwdriver to remove the cups by tapping them out from inside the headtube itself. Thanks, Mark

jac johnson

hi is this frame ok with 20" wheels

Hi Jac - You'd need to use a 19" rear wheel with this frame - if you use a 20" wheel the rim brake mounts won't line up correctly. Thanks, Mark

Hello - We recommend double checking when you join your chain that it's joined spot-on, as if it's a little bit off it can lead to the chain snapping prematurely. The vast majority of chain-snaps occur where the chain is joined, so by making sure that's all done correctly you can greatly reduce the chances of your chain snapping. I'm glad you like the frame though, they're great value for money!
