- The 2013 model of one of the best known forks on the market featuring a few tweaks over the previous model.
- As with the 2012 fork, the 2013 model features a built-in crown race. This is ideal for use with Echo SL Headsets, or any headset with a sealed 36 or 45 cartridge bearing on the lower cup (but not Chris King, as the taper is too small). Using a traditional crown race will void the warranty.
- New design features a slightly different leg shape that looks more similar to traditional trials forks, but still offer a large weld contact area for the legs at the crown and good tyre clearance.
- Steerer tube has a butted internal profile to increase tube thickness where required (near the crown of the fork) to improve strength whilst also helping keep weight low - forks supplied with star nut installed.
- 6061-T6 aluminium alloy construction.
- Designed specifically for 20" wheel bikes, with a choice of dedicated Magura 4-Bolt mounts (mounted on the front of the legs, spaced at 94mm) and a disc mount, V-brake mounts (spaced at 89mm) and disc mount or with a disc mount only.
- 9mm thick CNC machined disc mount, to take the extra stresses of trials riding.
- Available with Anodised Black or Anodised Silver finish.
- Please Note: All forks have some marks in the anodising near the crown of the fork, and some other tiny 'chips'. This doesn't affect the warranty or strength of the forks, and is the reason for the discount on the fork.
- Weight: 725g (Black, Disc Only).
- Weights including full length steerer tube.

Fork Dimensions

- Axle to Crown length: 360mm
- Axle Offset: 40mm
- Steerer tube length: 220mm

Hi George - The Urban forks are supplied with a pre-fitted starnut. Thanks, Mark

Callum Cook

Hi, Would these fit straight into my standard 219 monty headset?

Posted by Callum Cook on 20/02/2013

Reply from TartyBikes on 21/02/2013

Hi Callum - Unfortunately, due to the integrated crown race on these forks they won't work with that headset I'm afraid. You'd need to use a sealed bearing headset with these forks. Thanks, Mark

James w.

What sort of headset will I need to buy for this fork? Also I'm guessing it will fit a 20" onza limey 3 1-1/8 head tube?

Posted by James w. on 24/11/2013

Reply from TartyBikes on 25/11/2013

Hi James. Any sealed bearing headset with a 45 or 36 chamfer on the lower cartridge will work fine (with exception to Chris King as the chamfer is too small). The Echo headset is a perfect option - just remember to NOT use the crown race. Many headsets will work, though to use it with that frame you would need to make sure it is a "Standard" type, not an "Internal" or "Integrated". Thanks, Flipp.

Harry

Hi would these or the echo sl forks fit onto my onza ice ???

Posted by Harry on 23/02/2015

Reply from TartyBikes on 24/02/2015

Hi Harry - thanks for your question. Both of these forks would fit, assuming you have a compatible headset. The details of what features the headset needs to be compatible are in the product description. Thanks, Flipp.

Mads reppe

Does this fork fit on the onza bird??

Posted by Mads reppe on 28/03/2015

Reply from TartyBikes on 30/03/2015

Hi Mads - thanks for your question. This will work with the frame, front wheel and stem, but you would need to change to a suitable headset. The standard headset in the Bird uses unsealed caged bearings which would not work with the integrated crown race. Thanks, Flipp.

Mark Mc Hale

To whom it concerns. What size drop outs has Echo Urban 2013 20" forks as i am looking for similar forks but with 14mm drop outs. Kind Regards Mark

Posted by Mark Mc Hale on 20/04/2015

Reply from TartyBikes on 21/04/2015

Hi Mark - thanks for your question. The dropouts on these forks are 10mm. There are no trials forks that use a 14mm dropout. Thanks, Flipp.

Danny

Hi there would these forks fit my onza comp 2010 trials bike

Posted by Danny on 06/12/2015

Reply from TartyBikes on 07/12/2015

Hi Danny - To use these forks you would also need to replace your headset. The forks have a built-in crown race suitable for sealed bearing headsets (a few examples of compatible models are listed in the description), so they wouldn't work with the open bearing headset fitted as standard to your Comp. Thanks, Mark

Marcell Schmalhorst

Would this fork fit the onza bird 2012 with an echo headset?

Posted by Marcell Schmalhorst on 14/09/2013

Hi Marcell - that combination would work just fine. Thanks, Flipp.

Simon Smith

wud theses fit a onza ska with standard headset and stem

Posted by Simon Smith on 05/01/2014

Reply from TartyBikes on 06/01/2014

Hi Simon - thanks for your question. Unfortunately these forks would not work in that scenario as the standard headset on those bikes uses open bearings. These forks require a 45 or 36 lower cartridge bearing. Thanks, Flipp.

luke stanger

hi, I'm looking for new forks for my mission compo due to no disk brake mount, and was wondering would these fit on my bike?

Posted by luke stanger on 15/12/2013

Reply from TartyBikes on 16/12/2013

Hi Luke - thanks for your question. These should fit your bike no problem, though to use a disc brake you will also need a disc hub. From what I can tell, these bikes did not come with a disc hub as standard, so if you're using the original one that came with the bike it will not work. Thanks, Flipp.

anthony Dunne

will these forks fit straight on to my onza comp with standered headset thanks

Posted by anthony Dunne on 10/08/2014

Reply from TartyBikes on 11/08/2014

Hi Anthony - thanks for your question. These forks will not work with the standard headset as it uses open bearings. Thanks, Flipp.

joe olson

Hi, will these forks fit my rockman Austin frame. Thanks

Posted by joe olson on 28/04/2017

Reply from TartyBikes on 02/05/2017

Hi Joe - These forks would fit your Austin frame fine, as would any of the others in our 20" Forks category. Thanks, Mark
