As riders ourselves, we know exactly how to improve standard build bikes to ensure the best possible enjoyment for the rider. Instead of cutting prices, we spend extra time setting the bikes up to a high standard (which takes almost an hour per bike), and we also include the following items free of charge:
TartyBikes T-Shirt: We have Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large available (Men's sizes) in varying colours, click the link to see what we currently have available. Please ensure you specify which size T-Shirt you would like - it's unlikely our guess will be correct!
TartyBikes Chainstay Protector: Nifty little device to protect the paintwork on your frame when the chain slaps against it. One logo on each side... choose whichever you prefer!
Please ensure all the details on the warranty sheet supplied with the bike are adhered to. Certain circumstances (such as stripped threads or rounded crank arm tapers) only occur due to a lack of correct maintenance and all manufacturers are aware of these situations, so any claims due to incorrect maintenance procedures are much less likely to be successful.

Great bike!
Posted by Tyler on 07/05/2012
I got this bike at the beginning of March and I have been riding it constantly ever since! It feels like such a solid bike and there are no blaring weaknesses. The only thing that I may suggest is replacing the rear pads with something that has a little more bite. My brakes may need adjusted again but they still seem to slip on occasions. Other than that this bike exceeds expectations. Just make sure to keep everything tight for the first few rides, just as the guys at Tarty will tell you. However, if this will be your first trials bike(as it was mine) I might suggest getting a 20" as they may be easier to learn on, especially if you plan on having a heavy trials influence in your riding. That is just my opinion but overall a great bike and great service from Tarty! I will definitely be buying from them again!

Hi Tyler - I'm glad you like the bike! The rear pads are a fairly hard compound, but a change to something like the Inspired or Onza V-Brake Pads should give you more bite and hold. I'd say you were pretty accurate regarding starting on a 20" bike too - for out-and-out trials they'll usually offer an easier ride, although they'll be much more limited at streety-style riding. I hope you continue to enjoy the Element though, they're great bikes. Thanks for the review!

Hi Josh - The bikes arrive with us with the BB, cranks, headset and forks already fitted, and with the wheels already built. We would be able to send it to you like that, however it's worth bearing in mind that unless the bike is assembled by a professional bike mechanic that certain aspects of your warranty can be void. Thanks, Mark
Hi Raymond - The 2011 Fourplay has quite a few differences to the Element - the frame itself is quite a lot different (as are the forks to some extent), and the parts used are generally of a higher quality on the Fourplay. For example, the Fourplay uses hydraulic disc brakes front and rear whereas the Element uses a cable V-brake and cable disc brake. Both bikes are very good though, I don't think you'd be disappointed with either. Thanks, Mark
Hi Matthew - As the Element is based around last year's Fourplay frame and the Fourplay fork, it's a solid basis for starting to get into street trials. The rest of the spec is great too, so you shouldn't need to change anything on the bike for some time. The choice of bar/stem compliment the frame/fork, and give it a good riding position for more streety riding. In terms of comparison to the Fourplay - that depends on which model you mean. The 2011 version uses a hydraulic disc brake front and rear which are great in terms of power and modulation. They also require less maintenance than cable brakes, so are more 'fit and forget'. The pre-2011 Fourplay uses a hydraulic rear rim brake which has really good outright stopping power, but requires a little more effort in terms of setup and will tend to be noisier than a disc brake. It will work better than the V-Brake fitted as standard on the Element, although the standard brake on the Element is still good. Thanks, Mark
Hello - The main differences between the Element and a BMX are the wheelsize and gear ratio. The Element uses 24" wheels rather than 20", which means that it's not quite as manoeuvrable as a BMX, but can roll over rougher terrain better. The gear ratio is also lighter which allows more trials moves and lines with a shorter run-up. Basically, the Element is a sort of middle ground between a trials bike, a mountain bike and a BMX which means it's a very versatile bike to ride. Because of that, if you're planning on doing a mixture of styles of riding I'd say it was a good bike to start out on! The frame and fork are very strong, and the rest of the components are very good too so you also wouldn't need to spend any additional money on repairing/upgrading it any time soon. Thanks, Mark
Hello - Unfortunately, the Element in Yellow won't be back in stock until around August. Inspired have limited stock of the Grey Element, and we hope to get some more of these in stock soon. Thanks, Mark
Hi Alex - I just had a quick check on Google (my maths isn't great!), and 11kg is 24.25lbs. This makes it a little heavier than a 'normal' trials bike, but it will be a lot stronger and more durable. Thanks, Mark
Hi Peter - The rear hub is non-disc as standard, but the Element frame itself doesn't have disc mounts so it'd be impossible to fit them to this bike. Thanks, Mark
Hello - The Element is better for BMX than a conventional trials bike as the 24" wheels are a good mix between being small for manoeuvrability and large enough to roll well, and the more balanced geometry (as well as a shorter stem) helps keep your weight more central compared to a conventional trials bike. This allows you to move around more easily to do bunnyhops and manuals, as well as stoppies and G-Turns. On the other hand, the Element has a reasonably short rear end and a higher BB compared to most dedicated street bikes, which in turn helps keep it good for trials riding. The lighter gear ratio compared to a street bike/BMX also helps too. Thanks, Mark
Hi Wilson - The Element uses a standard freewheel on the rear, so it's possible to roll backwards on this bike. To be able to actually pedal the bike backwards you'd need a fixed drivetrain which would be impractical for trials. Thanks, Mark
Hi Sam - There's no definite answer for this as it depends on your size, riding style and the terrain you mainly ride on. Generally speaking, if you put around 35-40psi in your tyres you can then just let a little air out at a time as you're riding to see what works best for you. Thanks, Mark
Hi Christian - The Element is built up around one of the best 24" frame/fork combos available, with a great selection of parts. The geometry was developed with some of the best riders in the UK/world, so it also rides really nicely too. As a result I'd say it was pretty good for anyone from those just starting out to more experienced riders. Thanks, Mark
Hi Ben - For the front brake, something like the Magura MT2 would be a good bet. I've used them on my own Inspired before and they do work well, and are around £80 cheaper than a Hope brake once you factor in the rotor and adaptor required for the Hopes. For the Inspired Element 24" Bike, a Magura HS33 2011 brake, a Magura Evo2 Adaptor Kit (to fit the brake), a pair of Atomz brake pads (much better than the standard Magura Black pads and are only £4.99) and the Magura MT2 brake, it would be £1147.98. There would also be a £12 delivery charge too, so all-in it would be £1159.98. Thanks, Mark
