This bike is supplied with a 6 month warranty covering manufacturing and materials defects. The warranty does not cover mistreatment or poor maintenance. Please ensure all the details on the warranty sheet supplied with the bike are adhered to. Certain circumstances (such as stripped threads or rounded crank arm tapers) only occur due to a lack of correct maintenance and all manufacturers are aware of these situations, so any claims due to incorrect maintenance procedures are much less likely to be successful.

We build this bike to a 100% complete state in our workshop before dispatch to ensure all items are manufactured correctly and nothing is missing, but we do have to remove some parts to ensure there is no damage during transit. You will need some basic tools (usually 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 8mm allen keys and a 15mm spanner) for final assembly upon arrival. We have a video guide here to help, but please don't hesitate to contact us if you require any further assistance.

Please note that the specification on the bike may occasionally vary slightly from the photos and description. If this happens then the overall effect will be an upgrade and it will not affect the cosmetic appearance of the bike drastically.

Can rims on hex pro be set up tubeless

Posted by Jack

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Jack

Unfortunately, the Inspired Pro rims cannot be set up tubeless. Only the Inspired Team rims and Spank Spike / Spoon rims are certified for tubeless use. The Pro rims lack the join sealing and special tubeless rim bead to ensure a proper seal.

I really like it

Posted by Paul

This is my second street trials bike. The first was an inexpensive model from another company that I bought used to see if I liked street trials. I do and especially like how much it improves my skills when I ride my 29-inch mountain bike. However, the other bike had 24-inch tires and wasn't especially high quality. I wanted to give the larger 26-inch wheels a try to see if it felt more like my mountain bike. I'd had it in the shop several times over a short time period for repairs and always felt that something else was about to break. So I decided to try the Inspired Hex Pro, and it is everything I hoped it would be. The larger wheels immediately felt more comfortable and stable, yet it still seems easy to maneuver. Everything about it is high quality. The frame is beefy and solid but does not feel heavy. The upgraded Magura MT7 brakes feel terrific, have nice modulation, and great stopping power. The silver color looks terrific! My wife had tried my old trials bike a few times but didn't really like or ride it much. However, she tried the Hex and likes how it feels and rides much better. So we might need to by another one so we can ride together. If so, we will definitely purchase from Tarty Bikes again. I live in the western part of the United States, and despite all the shipping delays related to the coronavirus epidemic, the bike still arrived in eight days with the less expansive Fedex shipping option. Tarty's service was great! I asked a question via email prior to the purchase, which they answered quickly. That gave me the confidence to purchase from a bike shop in the U.K. thousands of miles away. The bike arrived very well packed and protected. So in short, I really like the Inspired Hex Pro, the larger 26-inch wheels, and the service I received from Tarty Bikes.

My first street trials bike!

Posted by Aaron

Just received my Inspired Hex 26" bought it for myself as a birthday gift. I love the feel of the bike and the colour is really sick compared to the pictures. As a dirt jump rider, I needed time to get use to the long stem and geometry but that's all okay. There's are few concerns I have... 1. I do not know if I have BIG feet (US 10.5) or I'm too big (183cm, athletic built) but my feet always got in the way when turning or preparing for a 180. I'm thinking of changing to a wider pedal to see if my feet would get in the way again or not... 2. The chain tensioner and rear sprocket feels somewhat plastic-ky?...

Reply from TartyBikes

Hi Aaron!
We're glad you like your new bike!
We haven't heard of riders having issues with foot placement on the Hex before, but it will depend on where you have your feet on your pedals. If you're a little closer to the middle of your foot on the pedal it's possible your toes will be a little closer. As before though, it's not something we've heard from riders before.
Regarding the chain tensioner and rear sprocket - the rear sprocket is hardened steel, and the chain tensioner arms are aluminium. The jockey wheels on the rear tensioner are nylon, but this is fairly standard for that style of tensioner. They're still nice and durable - the Trialtech Sport HD Splined sprockets and that model of Trialtech tensioner have been on Inspired's Team spec bikes for over 5 years now and they seem to hold up absolutely fine for riders. If you need any help setting up the chain tension, you should have some instructions in the manual that came with your bike, but if not feel free to email us and we can send a copy of them over to you as a PDF.
Thanks for your review, and we hope you continue to enjoy your new bike!

Awesome bike!

This is my first street trials bike, having only really dabbled in cycle trials with a mod bike I bought last year. Coming from a moto trial- mtb background I should have gone 26” straight away! I love the new found freedom of being able to cycle to spots easily. It does back wheel stuff a lot easier than I was expecting. It feels smooth and planted on the back and in general. Upgraded to the trial zone hope brakes which I highly recommend. It didn’t take me long to adjust to this bike which surprised me. The bad thing is I literally cannot ride my mod anymore. It feels far too twitchy As my balance has adjusted to this bike. The only thing I didn’t like about this bike is the trial tech pedals.. Even with 5’10s on I found myself slipping off the pedals far too much. Swapped them for some nuke proofs and problem solved! Can’t fault anything else! Tartybikes customer service is one of the best! 5/5

Wow! But slight irritations...

For TartyBike's ordering process, delivery, and follow-up to my delivery issue: Five Stars. I want to give the bike Five Stars but due to the tires and tubes I cannot. So Four + stars on the bike as a complete package. If I were to only rate the Inspired assembly, brakes, and drivetrain it would be Five Stars. Disclosure:. This is my first Trials Bike. At 5' 8" and 165# the bike is a great fit and the balance...I was able to track stand in about five minutes. I have never accomplished that on my enduro. Within the first hour I was able to hop onto (and off) low tabletops at the skate park. First issue was with the included Kenda tubes that cannot be filled with my floor pump. The valve-cores are too deep so my pumps cannot activate them. Pressure has to exceed 60 PSI (4bar) in the pump before any passes the valve. The tubes have been replaced with Bontraiger tubes and that issue has been resolved. On pavement the tires are fine but on Skate Park concrete they are dangerously low grip. The rear tire spins on acceleration attempts and they both slide on any cross-incline routes. Spring for some tires with more surface contact and softer rubber. I think for dirt/non-street use the included tires will be great. So in short if you want a great bike buy your Hex and change out the tires. Save the included ones for trails and street use.

Hi Myron - Thanks for the detailed review, we really appreciate your feedback! Regarding the tyres, when new they can be a little slippery as they'll have some release agent on them from the factory. This tends to wear off over time. It's worth noting that some skateparks will be more slippery than others too - I've ridden various concrete parks with my Inspired and they can go from being nice and grippy to like riding on ice! Hopefully you'll like your new tyres though. I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the valves on the supplied tubes - this isn't something we've heard of or experienced ourselves before. I hope you continue to enjoy your Hex none-the-less! Thanks again for your review.
